    and off the top of my head I belive there is a NS beta steam installer that does the work for you in the public beta forums

    yes there is and the links are in the vet forums and you require a log name and password to download and if you still manage to get it you get kicked from a game instantly if you try to join a team because you have no icon (playtester, vet, constellation, playtester)

    No no no, there is a Steam Beta Installer in the public beta forums, notice the 'public' part? Check right under Ideas and Suggestions for said forum.
    And the Steam beta installer there is stickied, so it shouldn't be too hard to find.
    EDIT: I believe the [Installer for Steam] is Beta, not the version of NS within.
    Which would be why it's somewhat bugged. 3.0, the upcoming version of NS, isn't though.

    Constellation members dont have their own special forums group, so for all we know, he can play it. Im a constellation member so i can play it, and my group still says members.

    Well yes, but noone else spoke of 3.0 before you. So I was just notifying you that they didn't mean 3.0.
