There is some kind of "leak" that I can't beat...

the walls are both touching...

Hammer is crazy or there is something else that can cause a leak than a hole? (no, the walls aren't entities...)

EDIT: btw, my HL is crashing if I use noclip mode and try to see by the other side of the wall... help on this ? particles are set to 100000.

    Problem solved...

    Because of a vertex editing, the walls got a hole of a about 1/10 of the minor size that hammer can handle.

    That's why I couldn't see that <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I sometimes get the same problem when making cliffs/rocks.

    Once I had a leak that existed for no reason at all, I swear. The only way to fix it was to stick an extra brush in a certain spot that was most definitely already sealed, as I had recreated the simple corner several times already, to no avail.

    Sometimes HL is wierd.

    These are all caused because of the way Half-Life "rounds" brushes. Just because two pieces look flush in Hammer, doesn't mean they are flush when compiled. I have a thread in the Newbie Mapping Forum which explains all about these CSG Leaks.

    I wish an admin would sticky it.

    The brushes in the vincinity of the phantom leak were pretty much plain cubes plunked right on the grid, but I suspect some nearby geometry was somehow creating a mysterious convergence of mathematical anomalies in that area. Or perhaps it was <b>ghosts</b> in my computer! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Anyways, the map was from like 2 years ago and I stopped working on it, I just thought I'd mention that on rare occasions leaks happen for very strange, incomprehensible reasons...

    lol. without fail, each time there's something related to his tutorial, he mensions it. Yet his cries go unheard by the admin powers that be.

    Perhaps that's why nobody has stickied it: You're being too subtle! <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
