Weapon Of Mass Destruction

Not a banquet
I see way too many times an onos or two get cloaking and regeneration, hide outside a marine base, stun and devour somebody, then run off and wait for him to devour.
Not saying this isn't viable, because it does hold marines back a bit, but every onos shouldn't be doing this.

The way I go, is that I use my 100 resources on an onos, get carapace, adrenaline/celerity (depends on how deep I have to go to reach their base with turrets firing at me), then I rush in and destroy as much I can.
If I devour someone, it's only to reduce the firepower at me. It eases things alot for the rest of my team, which doesn't think about destroying turrets, only to shoot down marines with acid rockets.

Get in there, destroy what you can and come back in as another lifeform. A skulk for instance. Without turrets, marines aren't so hard with a skulk.

Just reminding you that the onos is for more than devouring.

Why most people play very carefully with Onos while attacking the marine base is simply because they will die if they run straight in. So rather than running straight in they'll just sit outside and annoy the marines until the rest of the team arrives. Of course carap can help, but it takes forever to return to a healing station and get healed.

yeah, except that the marines would LOVE to kill a 106 res onus. I usually do that too, get back the 100 res that i used for onos, so that if i die, i can go onos again and havoc their base.

I think regen is by FAR the most useful upgrade.

Well, SOMEBODY got an ego ;P

You of course go rampage so that the rest of your team can cause the rest of the havoc.
Taking down 5-6 turrets help alot.

if there are more then 3 marines in that base. You wont be taking out 5-6 turrets.

cloaking for onos...i dunno, but Scent of Wallhack is more useful for onos imo, cus you are aware of every marine and wont get surprised and thus unless you are an idiot, you wont die...
and i agree that onos isnt just to devour, but its prolly its biggest role once marines have HA train...stomp while skulks bite doesnt work most of the time, lack of teamwork etc
