it will be released when it is finished :/

could be a week, or a month or whatever.
anyhow i personally beleive that the big balancing changes are made and they focus on hunting down bugs

so you might regard it as the final stage of the beta
well, just my own oppionion

I thought that they were hunting down bugs before adjusting balance? It makes sense to do it that way, as bugs might affect balance. As far as I know (I don't claim to know anything concrete) NS 3.0 is still hunting down bugs.

Agreed. They are doing bugs then balance, but there are more balance changes recently suggesting they have finished/are finishing the bug phase.

They're sorting out the lag at the moment, it will be done when it's done, asking isn't going to help.

You think people would read the 231461437 topics like this one and not make another. As I said before, you can expect it to be released by April 23, 2005.

Does 'not anytime soon' satisfy your question? =) Unless Flayra somehow gives us this magically balanced and bug free build all sudden.

Oh, and I'll leave this thread open as 'holiday season' was indeed the scheduled release date. Let's see when Flayra changes it.

I think Flayra CAN release when the lag bug is fixed, and the bugs found can be updated using steam, whenever.

Calm down, hes just asking.

Anyway, my plans with my community are put on HOLD and so is my money becuase the lack of information. Im not begging or anything, just looking for some enlightnement. Maybe like a percentile. Rough Percentile. It would be helpful, and it wont keep these topics going.

Also, making us wait so much, is hyping it so much, and hopeuflly doesnt turn out a dissappointment.

Clearly, the release of NS 3.0 will be a holiday. And, clearly, no season of holidays is complete without the completion of all of the holidays in that season. Following that logic, the holiday season will not be over until NS 3.0 is released.

Clearly.

He's not going to ship it out if it still has bugs. Have some common sense.
• Stanley_txpStanley_txp Join Date: 2003-10-04 Member: 21426Banned
its steam supported, of course he will, it will autoupdate later.
• MrMojoMrMojo Join Date: 2002-11-25 Member: 9882Members, Constellation
Then why didn't he release it sooner? People still want a finished, polished product. Sure, autoupdate would be good for adding maps and fixing numbers, but you don't expect him to release a beta that doesn't work.

By holiday season, Flayra meant Valentines day.

And cry about it all the time.

Really, 3.0 is available. It costs $20.

(Note: I mean donating to Constellation. Not bribing someone into leaking a copy to you, which would be worthless for a number of reasons.)

From what I can tell...It probably won't be ready for XMAS. Alot can happen in a few days though. Not sure. I hope its soon too. Truth be told we are bug stamping at the moment....couple nasty ones are around still.

If it was released at Christmas i would be PO cos i'm to busy to play at the time but on the other hand all the devs will be too busy to release it. So if its not out by Christmas it may not be out till after Newyears.
• ZekZek Join Date: 2002-11-10 Member: 7962Members, NS1 Playtester, Constellation, Reinforced - Shadow
Stanley, 3.0 is not nearly ready for release, Steam auto-patching or not. What the front page says is irrelevant; the devs can release it whenever they want. There are a lot of bugs yet to be fixed, and right now it's bugs before balance so we'll still have balancing left to do when the bugs are fixed(even that step we don't know how long it will take, it could be a week or it could be a month). Flayra already made the mistake of following a set release date with 2.0 and I doubt he's going to do it again with this build.
