Informed Folks, Comments On War Of The Machines
<div class="IPBDescription">Is this as bad as I hear? Comments?</div>
Ok folks, knock the forum clock back a few months, you can see me raving about T3 War of the Machines, a game which had MP and SP components, 10 missions involving executing and protecting Connor, BF1942 style teamplay, etc.
Roll to the present, I get told the game is actually OUT, but from what I hear, it's diabolical, badly animated, and not a good buy.
Lets clarify - I am a fanboy, I wanted to have this game so badly when I heard about it - is it actually worth the purchase or shall I wait until its in the bargain bin? I hear the SP mode got virtually removed, Atari have withdrawn support, and its not much better than a bad beta.
I've been burned before - I bought and still own MOO3 because I thought it might be patched to work. I realise there's no patching likely to happen for WotM but is it worth the purchase for some community based modding?
Looking for informed comments from anyone else who was looking forward to the concept we got fed, thanks!

On T3: go over to gamespot or something and take a look at the screenshots. Those alone should scare you away (look for the red pics). If that's not enough, hit the reviews for the rest of the dirt.
Even assuming that everything the reviews say is wholly exaggerated, it would still be pretty lame. A "glass is half full" estimate would be like 5/10.
Crappy graphics, juddering animations, shoddily done vehicles, monse-ugly hud and craptastic gameplay.
Steer Clear.

P.S. MoO2 rocks.
From the sound of it though, its bargain bin time.
PS I loved Moo3 but its a shame it never got the patching it deserved. Perhaps the real fans will finish it. Still, I've Moo and Moo2 to tide me over <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
If Moo3 was Moo2 - its annoying stuff (tedium with large empire mostly, which I could fix in a week with the source) + better multiplayer stuff, and nothing else, it would still be better than what moo3 is right now.
