I love when the list of "fixes" includes mostly things you've never seen before. Am I not using my browser to it's full potential?

Heck. I'm not even sure what half of the fixes mean. There seems to be an awful lot of them, though.

    Better get it anyway...

I wonder how many of of their trademark security holes M$ introduced with this update...

/me continues to browse fast&secure with Opera.

That's right, Opera is perfect. Let's take a quick look at their change logs for their last five updates to Opera 6.

It's software. Software is not perfect, and needs to be updated, as you are dealing with an ultra complex environment with (in Microsoft's case, not Opera's) hundreds of millions of users. Would you rather they did not fix security holes? Do you think that Opera does not introduce security holes?

Nobody likes a zealot except other zealots. Every time you oversimplify things like this, or use questionable logic, you look silly.

Normal software has bugs. M$ software has safety issues in the dimension of black holes. Come on, we're talking about the company that puts an executable scripting language with hard-drive access into word-processors and email clients (!). That opens network ports by default in their OSs (netbios + UnPnP). I could never trust this company enough to use their browser, even if I didn't despise their business strategy.

Jeez, whatever. MonsE brought up a valid point with some clear backing, so I will just change the subject and brush it under the rug rather than admit that I could be offering my opinions rather than facts.
