As far as I know Relic25's no longer involved in NS development; without airing dirty laundry, I'll say that he was upset with some of the negative attitudes in the player community and decided that he'd be happier if he left the NS scene. As I've mentioned in the past, you need to develop a thick skin to keep a high profile in any gaming community.

I've emailed him once since he left but didn't get a response, so he might not be checking his profile email account. Since I only talked with him about tool bugs, somebody else who knows him better might have additional information.

That's a pity cause he is so talented. Does Relic25 the mapper has something to do with Relic studio (developing games: homeworld, etc..) ?

That's probably the best answer I'll get. I remember last time this topic was posted everyone just kept speculating with no real knowledge. Thanks, Cagey.

EDIT: Mods, Admins, This topic can be closed any time as I fear it will wear out it's usefulness very soon since no one can give us any more of an answer then Cagey already has.

IIRC, he left after a prolonged flamewar with some vets who didn't like bast.

Meh...Vets went nuts on me too...But I'm back, and well...Yeah. I talk to Relic every-so-often (IE, every 6 months or so... -.-). As stated, E-Mail or his website to contact...
