<div class="IPBDescription">Get it if you like Final Fantasy</div> Seriously. Its got the ol ATB system back, just without the bar. It feels like the ol' ones too(X was a travesty...I swear, its like they grabbed that story back from their "I think we have a problem" bin). Graphics are great, animations are great, and the way the story goes is pretty cool too. It hasn't really started yet, but if you try and get involved, then you could get into the story. Its pretty impressive to me, and tons of fun. Despite the fact that their are a few idiots here and there who will /shout "WHERE DO I GET THE DOGS FOOT FOR MISSION NUMBER 3?<!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->!?!?!?!?!" for 3 days, spamming everything. But other than that, its a great playerbase. The white mages don't care anymore, they just heal someone if they need it. Just "I'm walkin along....heal-healhealheal!". And its THEIR choice to do that- I think its great. And the fact were playing on the Japanese servers doesn't hurt anything at all(they didn't start any new servers, just let us play on the Jap ones)- lag is almost NEVER a problem, and the Japanese convey their emotions and what they want us to do using the emotes very well.
If you liked any of the Final Fantasies- get this. Oh yeah, and keep on making and deleting a character till you get on the Valefor server(make em, and when you get to the "attach to handle?" page thing, hit escape, go to delete character, and it'll tell what world he/she is in. Keep doing it till you get Valefor

Although I loved the FF series, Ill need a trial to make my mind up.
I'm really thinking about getting it, but just the fact that you have to do this is... stupid.

I don't like that it costs $12.99 a month (isn't 10 enough?) or that you have to pay $1 extra for every character after your first, but i'm sure that won't stop me when it's finally released over here (in, say, 2012?).
ill be getting it with the release of the ps hd..(it will be packaged together) in march..ps2 and pc will be on same servers can you say gg>?

I think <a href='http://www.penny-arcade.com/view.php3?date=2003-10-29' target='_blank'>this</a> penny arcade strip sums up my sentiments about world passes. Why can't they just let you CHOOSE a server?
Personally I think its fine, it only takes about 5 minutes to get on the server you want anyway.
There is one problem though- much like in EQ and those games, low level-partying is WORTHLESS. And by worthless, I mean time consuming and stupid. Its like that until you are at least level 25, which then its actually ok.
Why post in a thread about a game you couldn't care less about in a series of games you don't even like. Way to be a spammer, Liku, though i must commend you in posting more than 2 words like you usually do.
Anyway, does anyone have a confirmed date for a European release at all? The Final Fantasy games are always extremely late in seeing the light of day over here, we're still waiting on FF X-2 to be released......
Dispite my <i>distaste</i> for MMORPGs, i'm such a FF fanboy i will definately be buying this one whenever it does decide to grace Europe with it's presence...

And ironpancake, that's a very good point, but i'll have to look into the billing options. There's a chance that it will refuse my card because of the contact details and such being in the UK.

What do you mean by switchcard? Running it from the UK? I don't know. But don't worry- their not starting the official main story until its in every country on every system they plan to release it on. You'll just have to level up REALLLLY fast.
