General Duscussion

right?
I know I might be out of place, but I have seen too many threads drug down beneath the waves of other threads because admins lock them. In all honesty, yes they do get locked for a reason, but there are specific posters who end up dragging the threads into the depths. Why not take action against those specific posters, and let the informative threads stay afloat. Honesly I think you would have less redundant threads created if some of the more "discussion" related ones stayed around for a bit more.

If that takes too much time... maybe get some reliable mods to prowl a little more often.

Deleting user's posts that could be derogitory is also a great way to clean up threads instead of locking them be sure not to leave the users in the dark either, because more often than not, I have seen threads yelping out a plea of notice because their last thread dissapeared, and they have no idea why it did.

I have made a thread that is completely benign, and it got nuked overnight because the lame thread prowlers felt it was a good idea to flame eachother and the general idea instead of being productive.

Theres my two cents admins. Im trying to be productive

Deleting individual posts is done - it's called nuking. For example, if you try to post an explot like ***nuked***

Then the admins will leave you a warning like No posting exploits

oooo... well thats nice, but I still want to see flamers being punished, not the rest of us.

err well really yeah, id hope admins wouldn't let exploits roam free, but like I said... flamers are the scourge of the threads, they often times bring down the thread even if the creator didn't intend it to be like that.
