    lol u noob bigbull, thats obviously not for NS. wow gj sheena, and i agree with bigbull that u should NEVER call your stuff pathetic. what program do you use for modeling and what form of modeling did you use? NURBs splines polys, what. BTW thats a very good capture of the hl2 assassains look.

    EDIT: to make it a lil better u might wanna have seperate (and different) textures for the thing going down the middle of the chest and the vest to the side of it.

    Figures that there has to be someone to criticize a model even if it's good:
    Changing the texture of the vest will probably make the rib guards more noticeable, as they are in the concept art. You probably already noticed that the vest's black flaps are flipped to the opposite side, but I guess the concept art could just be flipped horizontally from the original artist's rendition anyway.
    I'm also assuming you're working from a larger shot than the one you attatched, so I took the liberty of editing your post to replace it for you.

    ive worked with screenshots of it... and they where like that.. look like the concept is flipped...
    its pathetic because it does not even look like the hl2 assassin... i have to do a bright bodytexture for the suit.. a dark grey,, almost like the vest... and she have to be much slimmer.. and the boots.. doh.. i have to add this strange jumping springs... im usin max5 and c4d.. mixed techniques

    damn.. it looks way different ingame as on the concept art... :-/ like the concept more..

    Quite the opposite; if this were in fact manageable in HL2, I'd think it a safe bet that VALVe would be seeking you out for employment.

    The hands are terribly small and the pelvis is terribly low in relation to where the hands are. The helmet is lacking a lot of the personality that's in the sketch. For a preliminary based on recycled parts from other models, it's not a bad start, but you've got a ways to go.

    You model these characters like I draw: without -really- finishing them. It seems that way, anyway.

    It's good practice, of course, but I've found that guns and people are very different objects to realize [in 3D or on paper]. There's a completely different philosophy at work.
