How do I get the address books/favorites list from those CDs onto my computer? So far, copying and pasting hasnt worked. I just selected the whole folder and not the lists though, because I couldnt find the lists.

Got Kazaa? Search for "Ghost" under software. I have XP installed on one partiton and ghosted without any windows updates. The other partition is all of my applications which I could format willy-nilly should I wish.

LOL,  Meow the problem here is that WINXP is the devil.  Dosen't seem like such a good idea meow does it?  Seriously after I had uninstalled XP my computer ran so much faster.....I guess I hadn't realized the slow down when I installed it.  Meow I must say that XP is almost impossible to crash...ME runs faster but crashes every 30 seconds.

tsk tsk tsk.. freemantle advocating warez...

there's much easier ways to do that tahn warezing and then configuring norton ghost...

for the address book, it'll have your "identity" name in it plus .wab at the end, i.e. mine is DOOManiac.wab cause DOOManiac was the username I had. You can go to File->Import->Address Book... and it'll just prompt you to find the .wab you wanna import.

For your Favorites, those are easy. Take all the files from your CD and put them in C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Favorites. that's it. For example, my XP login name is DOOManiac, so my favorites are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\DOOManiac\Favorites. If you want the favorites to be available to any user who logs in then just put them in the All Users\Favorites.

Gah! Right, when I put the address book on the cd I backed it up on, I opened it up to make sure it still worked. But now in Windows XP, the one on the CD seems empty! Could it be it is not compatible with the new version of internet explorer, because we were using the old one in 98.

check again. There are likely to be 2 "identities" inside your address book on CD, one will be like "Shared Contacts" and the other "Tycho's Contact", just use the drop down menu to change it, and your contacts should magically reappear. From then just select all and drag and drop into outlook express's empty address book...

I see what you mean, but it isn't working. Thanks for the help though, I'll try M$ tech support.
