Funny bf1942 pics/moments

I know a lot of you are playing this great demo, and because of the nature of the game there are many many simply hilarious moments to the game, such as when a jeep blows up, cartwheels end over end, and smacks you right in the head.

So if you have any really funny stories, or even better pics, to add, just post em here.

I'll start off w/ one that happened at about 4 am heh. I was on axis side and was trying to land on the carrier. well I just barely made it. Look at the pics to see why :P

one night at about 2 am we decided to have a jeep race, so eight of us all collected jeeps, and after much mucking around the first official jeep race began. only problem was some smart cookie had placed mines all up and down the roads and only he knew where to drive to avoid them. we had some fun that night. like me making strafing runs in a zero while everyone tried to avoid me and race at the same time. should try it sometime, friggin awesome fun.

I was playing today just me on Axis against two others on Allied. I was holding the last point and I heard a tank coming. I managed to cap the machinegunner on top but I couldn't get at the driver and I didn't have any grenades because I was an engineer (My fav class). I hid in a nearby building and waited. The tank had stopped at the flag waiting for it to cap. I ran up and started dropping explosives all around it. Then, against all sense, the driver jumps out and starts shooting at me. I immediately jump into the tank and run him over. Woohoo, Point secure!

Damn this game rocks, everyone should download it.

The engineer is my favourite for two reasons:
1) <b>Nothing</b> beats the feeling of seeing a jeep fly into one of your minefields and explode in a fireball.

2) The ability to repair tanks. You can outlast any other opponent in a ground battle.

some of the funniest things ive seen was...

Two planes went to bomb a capture point, they both flew really low and as they pulled up they crashed into eachother.

I went rally driving in a jeep, i went over a set of hills and landed on a teammate on a really high jump.

A apc was driving down the road, i smiled, i flew over it shot at it and forgot to pull up... smash.

And finally...

I put some explosion packs on the carrier, a enemy plane flew really low over it and i blew it up, it flipped in the air and almost killed me

heh. The funniest thing i did on this game..... let´s see...
Oh ya, i remember one time i was in a tank, and 2 fighters began to attack me, and then both went really close to the ground, so i shooted one of them, blowed up, and the other one was nearby so when the other one blowed up, he got some damage, then he tryed to do a kamakazi attack, i jumped of the tank and shoot the plane with the rifle, and it blowed up before he crashed mah tank <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->

I was an allied infantry man once, and spent the game on the Axis carrier. I couldnt get off because I would get shot to heck from the people on the carrier, and there was no possible way for me to sink the thing. I contented myself with running around, having a bit of fun. I have a tendency to find myself on enemy ships; once I was an engineer on their battleship. Did you know those TNT things dissapear after a while? It sucks.

Well my story: I was an Allied Engineer and I was driving to a just captured place then an Axis guy drove by in an slower Japanese jeep, so I decided to turn around and follow him, I took a short cut to the Village and set up mines and then here he comes I get back into my jeep and try to drive away but the Axis jeep explodes and the jeep body comes and fly's on top of me and my jeep, which of course killed me and destroyed my jeep.

To land eos you slow down go low and your wheels come out, then hit the ground and hope you slowed down enough.

Well, I just tried again and again I keep bouncing on the runway when I try to land I bounce then bounce and then I bounce again but then I hit a village house.  <!--emo&???--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'><!--endemo-->

Never tried landing on the hanger.

I've landed twice, I was out of bombs and had come back to reload.  But that was on land, much easier than on the carrier, which leads me to a story.  I decided to practice landing on the carrier.  I had an allied plane, and came about slowly, was having trouble lining myself up and just at the end of the carrier, the wheels just miss the carrier and I land softly in the water, no damage.

One time playing axis the land guns were pounding the ships so I got in the cannon at the bow of the frigate and was making sure they stayed down.  It was then that the planes came to bomb.  It would come low release the bombs and come around for another pass, I would take a couple poorly aimed shots from time to time.  Finally he came in for a long low pass, I aimed, waited, waited, FIRE.  Both shells hit the nose of the plane and the shell of the craft went tumbling over the ship.  Pilot must've been confused.

Another plane kill was on land.  I was protecting a town from bombing using a flak cannon.  They would come, be damaged and leave.  One decided to stick around.  He was trying to take me out when he was almost there and the last shot took him out and he practicly gave me a hair cut.

Yet another just before the last.  He lost control of the plane and cartwheeled from one side of the island to the other.

I too have been on the ships.  Not too many on most of the time. Especially when they found that the ship was haunted with player killing ghosts <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

I was on the top of a tank, maning the gun.  A jeep came at us.  I fire, the jeep blows up.  The jeep then flys up and kills me.  <!--emo&:(--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('><!--endemo-->

<b>Doom:</b> Did you roll to that stop? I can land that way <b>directly</b>. I have a myrad of pictures I have already shown here. You can only do it with the zero, but it allows crazy strafing runs in which you don't have to pull up and you can still survive (and landing in a small ### spot).

you can land planes normally. last night i was an axis engy on the carrier and i saw a friendly plane with a lot of smoke coming out of it. i told the guy if he could manage to land i could repair him, and to my suprise he pulls of the most perfect damned landing i've ever seen heh. and of course a bunch of smacktards tried to jump into his plane as if it was empty, but i just repaired it and sent him on his merry way. nothing dramatic, but cool nonetheless, a good example of teamwork...

played earlier today, I had just gotten into a plane on the airfield and saw two jeeps heading my way.  Just then one of the planes was pulling out, smashing into the first jeep, then the second one smashes into the plane.  Both jeeps were destroyed but the plane just buried its nose into the passenger side seat of the first jeep, still running.

Was flying an American bomber and sank the finishing bomb into an Axis carrier. Got tons of congrats and tons of curses directed towards me.

I just had the coolest thing ever. I was playing Jap and I had parachuted out of my heavily damaged Zero onto the enemy airfield. I was an engineer (Of course). I landed on the hill to the side of where the allied planes are parked. I ran to the top and I saw <b>two</b> tanks at the bottom of the airfield with a bunch of people around them. I was looking around some more for a chance to cause some havoc. A plane appeared in front of me but alas; I had no way of taking off due to the airfield congestion. So I decided to take advantage of the smacktard principal and started throwing some explosives around the plane. One of them landed in the back seat of the bomber! It just sat there jiggling, must have been a bug or something. I then ran back up to the other side of the hill and waited until someone tried to hop into a plane. Sure enough, someone jumped into it. I had to make a decision, a droll but sure kill, or a spectacular midair explosion. I chose the latter :-D. I waited until the plane had throttled up and was advancing down the runway. I hit the detonator. BOOM. The plane skidded to a halt at the end of the runway. Unfortunately the tanks had moved on, if they had still been there...

That would have been the most spectacular event ever of BF1942.

Ah, that would have been cool to set some explosives on a plane then blow it up over a jeep, having it kill everyone.

2 times to date now, I have been hit by my plane after jumping out. Not fun.

I got another best story: I was Japanese, carrying out bombing runs on the island. Some guy who must have a Logitech Thrustforce or some wonderful joystick managed to get on my 6 and started shooting me down. I was in my favorite fighter, a zero, and the smacktards probably wouldnt have gunned for me anyways, so I was getting shot up pretty bad (plane lead vs plane = hurt plane) so I jumped out about 10 meters over a house. I know that is dangerous but I am friggen lucky with the parachutes. I exited the plane, flying quite fast at a 30 degree angle to the ground, literally whizzing about a meter or so over houses. Scared the crap out of me. Well, I jammed the "9" key about 4 times, because we all know the parachute doesnt like to open immediatley, and relaxed, knowing that in the 2 seconds left till I hit the ground, I would loft, rather then fall like a rock. But wait, I'm still falling fast! THE PARACHUTE DIDNT OPEN! I slam my hands (which were behind my head) onto the keyboard, somehow hitting 9 the split second before my feet become friendly with the ground. Phew.
