It has been mentioned in the back of a PC Gamer magazine awhile back, so yes. We probably will see more media over the release and far after, remember... beta 1 is only the beginning.

yeah u r right
its only the beginning.
beta 1 seams to rock! but how the #### will the next version rock? damn, NS will be better than cs, i am sure

@Cyanide: how is the weapon feeling in NS? is it like cs? or how to describe it?

To make the mod popular (in my country at least) i post things about it on a Spanish HL site, and people is really interested about it (and ask a lot of times when will it be released too)

I think its pretty popular now, but if it gets too many popular there will be llamas on servers (as is happening with DoD IMO)...

and now i have a question, have i to ask for permission if i show the pics in the site? i actually link to the source

NS is not a weapons mod. CS is; many of the outcomes when you face another player are determined by which gun you have. NS relies on other things also, like skill. And stuff. Im not a PT, so dont quote me.

edit: And while I have told my share of people about NS, i have withheld telling everyone I know (and I know I can convince them to try a mod out, at least once) until it is released, so I have something to show them.

I'm not a playtester either, but I can say a few things for sure:

1) CS is also heavily skill dependent.

2) What weapon you have DOES make a difference.

I think people are kinda confused over what the phrase "not a weapons mod" means. :/

To quote a guy from a musical I once saw (I don't remeber which one as I chlorophormed myself after 12 minutes), "This I feel is the begining of something most spectacular." Obviously he wasn't talking about NS but it applies to the subject matter anyways. And BTW, if you have an Xbox, get The Thing, or I'll mutate into something horrible and eat you alive!

Nah you don't. Well I did and they said yes, but I think it's ok as long as you say it's by them and not you (duh). No matter how many people play a game, there will be "llamas" - so please, people, stop saying "I hope the game doesn't get _too_ popular". I was playing Science and Industry, the complete antithesis of a "popular" mod, and the server was packed with morons. I'm sure there are plenty of proto-llamas stewing around in the NS community already, it's just something you'll have to get used to.

MCThornGristle is now our 'Skulk of the Week'. Kudos, McThorn.

I also thing 'The Proto-Llamas' would be a kickarse name for a punk band...

The NS Community is VERY LAGRE for a mod that is not out yet. I think it is the largest mod-community for a non-release mod

Ok, you're right, but if there is more people playing a mod/game there's more chances to find llamas on servers, well, also, more people == more servers, so it's not that bad

Hehe, awesome - I shall wear it with pride. I'd make you a "Too Much Time On My Hands" medal in response, but I lack the photoshop skills to do so.

Your talking about Ramses. That prolly took him half of an eye blink.
