    Right click on the main NS forums button to the top left of the screen. Then copy the URL. Then go to your favorites and change the address. That way, it takes you straight to the forums every time, withought you having to wait for the navaigation flash.

    what I do is link to the readyroom first, then go to the forums from there.  If there's an update on the main site it shows up in the forums pretty quickly, and I imediately know of any readyroom updates.

    well, youre right, but i think it should be possible to do some updates. everyone wants to see some screens or some nice changes. well, but if the devs get on with the game faster when they don't update the page, then, well, PLZ NEVER UPDATE IT AGAIN! <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->     but take your time to get the game as good as it gets. it's better to wait and get a great game, then getting it now full with bugs.

    I personally if i'm at another persons house wanting to come here i end up going to the readyroom and clicking the NS Forums link, it links to a seperate window and you don't have the troublesome flash things as the main site has.

    I don't see why it has to be perfect on the first beta. Think of how many goes it took the CS team to get things right! You are right though you wouldn't really want sumthing that buggy and crap released now days so you might as well ignore everything I just said. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    I've got one button that takes me straight to the "New Posts" search page, rr.org, PA, D-Pad, Reallife comics and PHL. It's very usefull. I don't get that annoying flash thing that's at ns.org either.

    Here's the code:

    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;URL=http://www.penny-arcade.com">
    <script language="javascript"> window.open("http://www.readyroom.org")</script>
    <script language="javascript"> window.open("http://www.planethalflife.com")</script>
    <script language="javascript"> window.open("http://www.natural-selection.org/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi?act=Search;CODE=03")</script>
    <script language="javascript"> window.open("http://www.reallifecomics.com/index.html")</script>
    <script language="javascript"> window.open("http://www.dpad.ca/index.php")</script>

    Create a .html file with this in it and simply load this page from your harddrive from a launcher button, modify at will!

    i would prolly rather play some of the earlier betas of cs than 1.5, back when it wanst as much of a death match game...

    True, CS was a little buggy when it first came out, but the fact is that <i>now it isn't.</i> So if your average CS players downloads NS just to see what the fuss is about, and frequently gets booted from the server, or researched stuff never takes effect for some reason, or some other minor but noticeable bug comes up, he'll say, "Eh, counterstrike is more reliable," and never try NS again.
    Sure, I personally wouldn't care if there were just a few glitches (take SI, you sometimes spawn in the other team's room but it's still fun), but if the devs are hoping for a big splash, they want everything as good as is *currently possible*.

    Or at least that's what I think they think.  <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

    For as long as I can remember there have always been people playing CS like a deathmatch game.
