Has ROF of roughly 8 bullets a second (LMG/SMG deals 120 per second... this thing would deal 96 a second, making it less preferable for close range fighting)
Accurate, small spread

I would like a model based around these numbers.
The SMG and AR model would have to match each other a little, to fit a theme.
I think I may already have an SMG model:

This is all I could find after combing through the forums that apealed to me most, from <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/uploads/post-19-1059297509.jpg' target='_blank'>here.</a> It would fit best as a SMG model.
If you are lazy, DL that model, skin it grey/bluish (to fit with the overall TSA theme), then make a corresponding AR model.
If you don't want to reskin the other kid's model (because you can't get his permission), then you can always just make two weapons of your own.
Just remember, they have to look nice, not be buggy, and fit with the current TSA color scheme. It would also look nice if they were related to each other somehow.
I know this is a lot to ask for, but it would be incredibly cool to see this become a reality.

I don't think that you'll see a SWAT team of 9 men, 2 with MP5's, 3 with M4A1's and three with bazook... G36's, and one with a shotgun.
LMG's is what the TSA's use, and if their mission require it, they have the materials to construct heavy machineguns.
You don't need HMG's to kill skulks. Their objectives is to eliminate the threat, not decorate the wall with them.
And remember, shotguns are mobile siege units, and grenade launchers are "cleaners".

This idea has not been promised to be implimented by ANYONE correct? That's even assuming you GET the modelers permissions to use them once done.
So what is the purpose of this exactly? Just for the heck of it?

Yes this is true, but they are not guns, nor are they very good at killing anything might i add, i've never even been able to take out an OC with those things, but that's besides the point. The point is if you want a long range killer, get an hmg, if you want a short range killer get a shotgun. If you want something for both, GET AN LMG.
I'm not saying your idea is stupid and you should give up, i'm just saying that you might want to actually get the dev team on your side first, if at all.

Let me get this straight. This is the NS custimization forum, right?
So in other words, I want to custimize MY NS so that sometimes, I could play with some nice quality SMG looking model (which is actually my LMG), or a nice quality looking AR (which is actually an LMG). Who CARES if it's never put in.
All of this stuff is just to detail the look of the damn game, right? So what difference does it make?
Back on topic; I would like to see some nice looking models for this.
And the orginal and basic premise of the entire idea was to add a bit more depth to the starting game as well as kill some of the redundancy of it.
You want a model that looks like a rifle for when you're in the mood for a rifle, and another model that looks like an SMG for when you're in the mood for an SMG. I think, had you not confused everyone with your original post, people would have told you some of the following things:
1. "Search is your best friend".
2. "Use the search, buddy".
3. "Don't use the search at the top, use the one at the bottom".
4. "Here's an SMG and here's a rifle! They are cool! You should use them!(me)".

I've already searched, and I've already shown what I've come up with. Congrats on being a fool.
I've also specified some other requirements, as that it's NOT JUST A REGULAR AR, I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A TSA THEMED AR, AND THE SAME GOES FOR THE SMG!
Get it? I mean, holy damn, you'd think this was a simple request or something, but evidently I guess not... :/

Umm.... Yes, yes you would see that. what you would NEVER see is a SWAT team comprised of 9 men with the same weapon. Overspecialization breeds weakness. It is common for CQB teams like a SWAT team to carry 1 shotgun for pointman, 3 Assault Rifles for 2nd and 2nd Last man, 3 SubMachineguns for those in the Middle, and a Heavier Weapon, Usually a SAW (For Military teams) or another Assault Rifle (For Police Teams)
Military CQB teams rarely carry SMGs, so they would probably be using Carbines instead.
The Half-Life engine can only handle 32 weapons so far 28 is used and if one more alien was to be added there would go the other four (and I believe a while back they were thinking of that hence why they kept the 4 open and probably WILL keep them open)

Errr.. there are 4 slots left. This idea would only take 1 extra slot, because the LMG is replaced.

But who gives a damn? If someone could make a nice looking AR model, it would be used, even if not for the suggested idea. So it's like any other mreq. Stop whining about the suggestion, and start whining about how you don't want to make a specific model idea of someone elses.
altho the pic isnt very clear, it looks like The guy in front with the tac shield has a pistol, the guy behind him has an SMG or carbine, the guy behind him has a carbine, the fourth guy has a pistol, and the last man is carrying a shotgun
