<div class="IPBDescription">That's right, free! w00t.</div><a href='http://www.gamespot.com/gamespot/misc/dlx/planetside/index.html' target='_blank'>http://www.gamespot.com/gamespot/misc/dlx/...side/index.html</a>
Planetside is one of those games that is absolutely terrific but then gets bored after about 24 days or so. Lucky for us, there's a free trial for 30 days! w00t!
<b>Note: The trial does require a credit card to ensure no (or at least less) instances of people taking more than one trial. Also, for some unknown reason you must be running Win XP to play. Yeah, I know, that part sucks.</b>
We should all go to the same server. Can't wait to fly my Reaver again :D

Boy howdy isn't that the truth. I'm glad I never had to pay a dime to play the beta.
I never had such a good experience doing support roles as I did driving an ANT in that game. The open landscape made it tolerable and the big thanks I got when I showed up with that little bundle of joy was always so nice.
then almost exactly 21 days later, bam, no interest in playing at all. Not even a little bit.
(Important Note: You will be required to enter a valid credit card number and have Windows XP installed to play the free trial. After the 30-day trial period ends, and unless you cancel your trial subscription before the end of the 30-day trial period, Sony Online Entertainment® will begin to charge your credit card on a monthly basis.)
At least they had the courtesy to put in bold print...
Although I don't feel like installing the Gamespot download manager, as the last time I did I found some unwanted adware and such, I'd rather not deal with that again.
Actually, you failed to mention that <b>they charge your credit card</b> if you dont cancel.
