O Added hand-grenades (thanks BrigadierWolf!) -> Grenades don't detonate on contact, only after 4 seconds. -> Available in Combat as regular upgrade (1 per life). -> Available in regular NS as upgrade at armory. After researched, all marines spawn with a single grenade.
Thats about as much as we know, until the patch gets put onto the servers and we can see for ourselves.
IMO, the grenades need a much shorter fuse if they are going to be used for anything except vent cleaning. And even then, a four second fuse will give aliens plenty of chance to run.
Unless you can cook them <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
I hear that in real life, cooking grenades is one of the dumbest things you can do, because the timers are never perfect or exact. When you let go of the hammer, you want that thing as far away from you as possible, as soon as possible, because it's going to blow very soon, and you don't know when that's going to be.
So if cooking grenades is not in the game, that's fine with me, under the realism clause.
If cooking grenades is in the game, that's fine with me, under the gameplay clause.
Actually, I think not cooking the grenades would go under both realism AND gameplay, so I'd prefer that, but it's Flayra's game, so......
I prefer to stir-fry my grenades <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
I'd like to see a cook feature for them. Similar to how the standard TFC grenade works, so you can time your throws.

Gotta wonder if 'nades will do FF...

If I wanted to get smapped by nades I would go play COD or Bf1942

Besides, the 'nades won't come about until after the armoury is upgraded. It looks like a great middle ground weapon. Marines need something in between lmg and nade launcher because that's when WOL's are most effective. And one per life should prevent spammage (that's the launchers job!)
I know its only 1 nade a person, and I see why its a good idea (lerk in vent, skulk behind corner etc.) but it's when <u>every</u> person on the team has a nade
have you ever seen a game in CS (I know you all hate CS) were everyone on a team buys a nade and then they all spam it down a vent, door, hall etc.?

onos should be able to devour grenades, thus keeping the damage only to the onos instead of any other aliens around! a good counter maybe? and might make it do more damage to the onos if he eats it but significantly less if its not eaten...
