Stuck
Ok, so I installed the newest Nvidia drivers and rebooted my pc, but after that, my monitor overflowed. So I started windows with the most recent config. But now I'm stuck in 16 color mode and 800 x 600.
As usual, windows help doesn't d o a sh*t for me.
So, can anyone help?

Can you remove these drivers and revert back to the older
ones? Download the .exe from nVIDIA. Maybe a RegCleaner
to remove the old entries. I think there are some un-official
nVIDIA Driver removal tools out there, may Google guide you.

Or just system restore if you have XP.

Hmm, I wonder why my sig is deleted, it's fine in size and weight.
But anyway, I got it sorted, back to 1024 x 768 and 32 - bit colors.
But also I got a bigger problem now, my pc won't reconize my videocard. It's running VGA now.

Try taking out your video card and beating it with a stick.

No wait! Don't do that! Use a rock! Yeah. *thumbs up*

Maybe you could tell us what card you have?

Ouch!

What do you mean by your monitor "overflowing"? I don't think I'm familiar with all the terminology.
Try the ol' default action a try.

Uninstall drivers.
Remove card.
Put card back in.
Reinstall drivers.

Tada?

Also, try booting in safe mode before removing all video drivers, some drivers could be hidden and safe mode will show _all_ of them

Take a bucket of water and give your graphics card a good wash. Make sure you pry all the chips off and scrub them real good, it doesn't matter which order they go back in.

Well, this happened to me and I just uninstalled all the drivers and re-installed ones I got from the net. But then I suppose that was a little different since my card is ATI no GeForce...

The new forceware drivers (5x.xx) don't seem to work well with the MX series of cards. I've had the same problems with one of my computers. You need to remove the forceware drivers via add/remove programmes and then restart and install the newest, older drivers (4x.xx range). That should fix the problem.
