need links to learn about MySQL
Hi,
I've just taken over the job of being teh web master of my student union's website. I just got it because I was the most convenient person available who knew the basic of web designs.
But I am still tasked with doing some pretty advance stuff. One of this is to change the database system from a M$ Access database system to a MySQL database system.
Before I go on, note that our webserver also host the websites of the various clubs and societies of the university. Now MySQL has already been installed on the webserver. The only issue that will arise that I came to understand was on how to give appropiate access to other users of the webserver (the ppl each charge of each clubs and societies websites)
As such Im thinking I need to look for a good guide on MySQL. Any suggestions?

I use the MySQL Documentation almost daily at work, its very handy and the search feature is usually good at interpretting what you're actually looking for. :)
As far as a beginner learning MySQL, its not hard, and there are dozens of good books out there to do it with. Go to a local book store and pick up a cheap paperback, and that + online guides should be more than enough to get you started. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask em here, as lots of peeps here know SQL.
