    Smacktards! Numnutz! Oh My! Lol, this guy uses some vulgar words but it was very entertaining to read. Seriously, every game I join people are always going after the planes. I don't even bother with the planes, I got for the tank.

    Hahaha, that was great - and the sad thing is its so true.  As of now that if the main reason I dont play BF1942 ('Smacktards' camping the planes) - there is just no teamwork, and its 10x easier trying to make plans on a pub CS server than a BF1942 server.

    I’ve actually have had some really good games in BF 1942. I jumped into a plane and flew off to take out a tank that was causing my team a bit of grief. It took me three bombs to get it. After that I got shot down by some Jap AA fire coming from their gunboat. When I respawned I ran for the torpedo plane so I could get rid of that damn gunboat. Just before I got in, someone else beat me to it. He was throttling up and I quickly typed (No voicecomm :-() "I was the one that bombed that tank!" and "Let me pilot!". And lo and behold, he/she jumped out and let me pilot! Then the other person jumped into the gunner seat. Eventually I got shot down by the gunboat again after getting about four torpedos into it but it was damn fun round.

    Flying a plane is a hell of a lot easier when you have a decent <a href="http://www.intelligamer.com/hardware/wingforce/wingforce.asp" target="_blank">joystick</a>.

    Heh, to use planes you need to wait until the original version is released and then go play it on a lan....
    Lotsa fun ;D, trust me, multiplayer air combat = the best thing in the world.
    Today i was playing 8 vs 8 C&C renegade on the island maps, all air. It was one of the funnier things i ever did on a game.

    Im really annoyed about BF1942. I was on it a minute ago, i was repairing my vehicle and someone stole it. He had done it before so i wanted revenge. I got 2 vehicles, tank and the fast car ( forgot name ) either way he would die. He got in the tank... the hard way, i went flying down road infront of him and put some mines down, BANG he dies im kicked as i find out his the admin... faggot.

    2 things im confused about in BF1942:

    1, whenever I drop a torped o early, you know, like you'r SUPPOSED to drop it, so it skips across the water...

    Well, it seems to go right inder the carrier! Does this happen to anyone else?

    2) How do i hook up a joystick to work in a plane?

    Everything he said about smacktards is true.  Say some of my friends and I want to do some artillery bombardment of the airfield from our conveniently-out-of-range destroyer.  The gunner might just barely have time to line up his target before a smacktard gets in the front seat and runs the ship directly into shallow water, incapable of moving.  He runs the ship aground and makes it useless for bombardment just so he can fire at one area of the shore with the weaker front guns.

    There is no limit to their selfishness.
