Yes, you do indeed learn something new each day.

Now if you'll excuse me, I've got homework to do and a bittorrent to download.

strange, normally a wedding involves a lot of planning, etc. My sister's was in motion for a long time before the actual wedding...

I can assure you the wedding's not intended to be elaborate.

One of the main factors for the rush I believe is that my soon to be stepmother isn't a Canadian citizen. She has to go back to Malaysia on the 31st, so there's quite a bit of work that needs to be done before she can live here.

Am I the only one around here who's looking forward to seeing his father come Christmas?

Nope. I'm looking forward to seeing my father at Christmas.

Infact my sisters and I are going to go round his house to put up Christmas decorations for him twelve days before Christmas as a surprise.

Could be worse. My Pop got remarried and didn't tell me and my brother until a month later.

Personally, it doesn't make much difference to me that my father's going to be there - it's not like we talk to each other. (We never fell out or whatever, it's just that neither of us can start or carry on a conversation.)

Since my grandmother died, Christmas has been something I look forward to. After she kicked the bucket, I get along great with my family. I wouldn't spend it any other way.
