I don't support tatoos, period. Really, it's one of the stupider ideas people have come up with. And don't talk about that "spiritual" and "meaningfull" ****, if a picture on your body can summarize it, it's not that deep.
Although I'm not getting a tattoo, I know, what I would get... A.... Eh... You know. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
I'm with Zig and Uranium (though maybe not as adamently as Uranium) =P I'm not crazy about azn characters for tattoos... maybe if you're a HUGE anime fan and the characters have special significance to you -- and even in that case, plain black = boring and ugly...
if I ever get a tattoo, it's going to have to be a masterwork of art... I'm considering going to <a href='http://www.anilgupta.com/' target='_blank'>this guy</a>, though I probably can't afford him... check it out:
Or how much it hurt... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Of course, no one ever stopped to think that this asked what tattoo's you might/want to get.
I myself am never going to get a tattoo, except possibly when i'm 28-32.
When you get a tattoo, you can't give blood for a year. 52 weeks in a year, that's 6 pints of blood that I wouldn't be able to give. Piercings take 6 months, so none of those either, that's about 3 pints.
The only piercing I really ever wanna get is done by a 18 gauge needle, delivered to the veins in my left or right arm.
I use some random one I picked up to open my door. I set up a barcode reader to unlock my door for the correct code.
I think it would be pretty cool using a barcode on my wrist or something to open the door. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
It's modeled after the tattoo of a character in a game that I share the same first name as (props to any of you who actually know which character)... I did it in two sittings, total of about 7 1/2, 8 hours. I got both of them when I turned 18.
I plan on getting a phoenix on my back, near the top, so that the tailfeathers trail down almost to my rear. Not a terribly realistic one, but one done somewhat in the style of Jam's "Trillion Phoenix" from Guilty Gear. Yes, I'm a geek.
I once planned on getting an Oriental dragon clutching a Japanese flag in one hand (paw?) and a Korean flag in the other, to represent my mixed blood, because it's something I'm not ashamed of, despite all the cultural and historical clashes it entails, and I wanted something to symbolize that. I didn't think it would look good on me, though. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

I don't believe in tatoos for some symbolic meaning. I believe in their usability for pure style.
I don't have any yet, but I'm *thinking* about getting this one....
It's a little hard to describe, but start off by thinking of the Quake 2 symbol, a Circle with the two spikes coming straight down that have a paralell opening in the middle.
So you start off on the top side of my right hand's wrist. You start the spikes there and start drawing the image bottom to top going up the arm. Now, instead of completing the top of the circle, you basically have the part where it opens up for the circle go AROUND the arm in a pseudo-circle kind of pattern. Then when the lines meet up on the bottom side of the arm, you basically make the spikes part of the quake 2 symbol again but this time it's still going up the arm. The end of the spikes would basically end at my elbow.
That and a barcode on the back of my neck a-la hitman.

oops, sorry then zig ^^ I just saw the linky to <a href='http://www.anilgupta.com/' target='_blank'>'this guy'</a> in the quote and laziness did the rest =3
I'm looking for some Giger style work, ie "Biomech" for when my back is finished, but I need it to be original. If any of you know anyone who can draw biomechanical work, and will put up with an awkward British kid then drop me a PM.
I will gladly pay for high quality original work to my specifications.

That's an AWESOME tattoo.
My left arm has 3 scars on the veins, the right arm has 2 scars.
Five pints, 3 units per pint = 15 units = possibility of 15 live's saved.
Well, they'll send you a little Blood Donor card afterwards, with your blood type on it, and your registration stuff.
I know i'm O+

The first one is Chinese characters for "slave girl" (don't ask), on my right shoulderblade.
The other tattoo is a snake twisting around my right thigh.

Me: "Why did you get that tatoo?"
My Friend: "Because I asked my brother what looked cool"
Me: "Dude, thats lame"
When you get a tattoo, it should be all about you, not if somebody else thinks it is cool or not.
