<div class="IPBDescription">and ns</div> since valves enhansing the hl engine for cz,will some of thease changes rub off into ns?? like make the engine mor flexible for moe wps and models,etc.

    Well to do that, new models/maps/etc. would have to be made to take advantage of that. New coding would have to be written to cover any and all differences between the two engines, and that is assuming that they are similar enough that the original NS coding could be used at all. If that is not the case, the entirety of the coding used for NS would have to be rewritten.

    Simply put I highly doubt that it would be done. It could be done, but for too little gain and too great a detriment. I mean to use all the new engine enhancements, everyone who played the "better looking" NS would have to have Condition Zero. I mean, that would really suck. I mean REALLY. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> Oh well, hope that answers your question.

I come, play games, talk to other gamers, then leave. Reading gaming news used to be an option, then the School Filters started blocking it, so it's not anymore. If anyone knows please tell me.

    why would it suck for everyone to need CZ <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> ......... also, i played cz, and well the graphics looks pretty cool, ide loev to see ns with way beter graphics, but it wouldent bother me at all if the graphics stayed the same.

    Because some people are budgeted, a.l.a. mwah. I have been waiting several months to buy BF1942 for heaven's sakes. I can't afford to buy a game I really doubt I will play just to play a game, that doesn't in all honesty <b>need</b> a graphics overhaul, that I do want to play. Go easy on us low budget types alright?

    hmmm.. yeah, its horrible seeing a game for 90$ ( aus money ) .

    specially when someone like me ( youth alownace, i only get 170$ a fornight ). thats why i mostly just borrow the games from friends.

    Hahah. Seriously though, I have been offered burned games a hundred times, I just hate to do it, unless the game is just really not worth it, and horribly overpriced, I can't stand doing it. Anyway most of the games I have are hand me downs (i.e. the game, not a burned version was given to me) from my friends and my brother. Warcraft 3, Deus Ex, Max Payne... the list goes on. But none of my friends play CS, so unless they start now, I don't think I will get CS:CZ anytime soon.

    well my friend told me he had the origenal hl:cz, i just told him to give me his backup copy so i dont scratch his origenal...

    but, i uninstalled it since i dont actually own the game. i just wanted to try it out once to see if it was good.

    hey, i wonder if Ns will go retail ? ide be glad to pay 60$ for it, as long as we can still download it though.

    Hey! I got an even better idea! Why not just donate $60 and not have NS go retail.     well i said, as long as we can still download it. it would just be cool to have an origenal version of it.

    what i might do it, isntall my counter-strike retail then install NS and make my own cd cover, the use my cd stamper and put it on, it would be pretty cool.

    edit: send 60$ ? ? whoa, im sending 30$ next week, the aus dollar better not go any shiter then it already is, otherwise i wont send anything cause i just cant afford it lol

    I know they have enhanced the HL Engine before yeah. But what I meant was, were they updating the HL engine to be just like the CS:CZ engine? Because I kind of doubt that they would...

    I'm pretty sure CZ just has higher-poly models and better textures, not a better engine.

    You shouldn't have any more trouble getting NS to work in CZ than you would in DOD or CS retails.

    Edit: oh yeah, valve might release an HL patch, but you'd probably never notice it: steam will dl it for you.

    there are a few tweaks to the hl engine that were designed for cz, that is why the new mod Household Death is steam only(don't ask what those tweaks are)

    the main improvement with cs:cz is that there are higher resolution textures an higher poly models, last I knew these are planned updates for standard Counter Strike, so the steam half life engine will support them and ns could take advantage of them.

    The last steam update added the hl engine modifications from condition zero, thats why all the mods broke like AMX and adminmod.

    I'm not sure what the new code means for mods except counter-strike.

    I know we can have transparent models or something now cos of a DOD update, maybe thats more important. :o
