a good community
Hey, this is my first post on these forums and probably not my last, ive been playing ns online for 3 days now and love it, so ive decided to compliment you all on the community that has been formed around NS. Counter-Strike, everyone who plays pc games knows about it, and its become the reigning multiplayer game around and thats all well and good, however there is one main problem with it THE COMMUNITY.

Cs has become a gathering place for people who have devoted thier lives to a game that will inevitably die out (leaving them with what?) and because of this its taken TOO seriously, i play NS because its great fun not because i want to be teh "elite" h@x0r.... being a n00b on CS is bad, you get spammed with insults and your own team shoots at you etc, everyone on NS with the exception of 1 or 2 players who said hated me randomly everyone is very nice to newbs..so yeah this has become a bit long

Good work on creating a friendly gaming community, ive been looking for one for a while.

heh, most cs servers consist of a bunch of 12 year olds calling each other faggots, and then another group of "homies" jus' "representin'." Welcome to NS... enjoy your stay and never join a clan. Ever.

ed: dunno what you're talking about, NS is about the least newb tolerant game I've ever played, because one newb can ruin it for all (or so the newb bashers would like to believe...)

Hey, CS isn't that bad, just that the game is played by a younger crowd, and NS has a more mature crowd

I mostly see around 17+ old players, young people like me (around 15) are few and far between, wherein Counter-Strike, a more widely known mod attracts people of lower ages (9 was the youngest I've seen).
