<div class="IPBDescription">Layouts</div>It would be really cool if someone could post the layouts of the official maps soon, so we can study and know the maps a little before the release. (espeacially for those of us who want to be the commander.)  THis would be REALLY cool.  please!

    Your r_speeds in that right corridor seem bad, and that wall texture just doesn't do it for me. Might want to Totally change every single aspect to something compeltely unrelated and different, and although I'm not mapper, that doesn't sound so hard.

    From what I've seen, Hera may turn out to be quite a popular map, so it might be one of the ones worth knowing, if it gets alot of rotation on servers.
    If you do a search of the mapping forums, you'll might find something that could help you out a bit with getting to know it better. Also, if you check out <a href="http://www.planethalflife.com/awmaps" target="_blank">Andrew Weldon's site</a>, you'll find an overhead HLTV overview of Eclipse, which I've been looking forward to for some time.

    Merk, it seems like the Marines have a large disadvantage in not getting any resource nodes close to them.

    yeah, sucks to be a marine, huh?

    Actually, marines would probably win every round with that layout. Remember, aliens only start with 1 hive.

    Well the Marines only have one Command Center, so actually, I guess its quite balanced.

    Ahh, but there is extremely little cover for the aliens. Thankfully, I havn't drawn a scale on it. Perhaps the aliens spawn 10 meters from the marines, in which case, the marines would probably die horribly. Or perhaps the map is extremely dark.

    Just doing that so we don't get any misunderstanings. I'm always seeing stuff that keeps lowering my guess at the average inteligince of the race.

    I'm gonna make NS_STUBBEDTOE!  I'll just put all 3 hives in a little ring around the CC.  But with no lights, games will be just as tense and fullfilling as on all those "complicated" maps like "Bast" and "Hera"!

    Anyway, who needs complexity in maps. NS_Stubbedtoe sounds amazing. Ding-dong! Another great idea from the guy who brought you quality maps like NS_BigEmptyDarkCubeO'Death.

    This reminds me of the time I made "The least complex map ever."
    It was just a room with 4 walls (the shape of the open space would be a sort of 4 sided pyramid, if you filled it in) textured in BLACK, with no lighting, and two player starts. It was great fun, especially with grenades.
