I remember the original in all it's pixilated glory.

The graphics were awesome for the time.

Thats because they used a movie camera to acctuly record a guy doing all the moves and meticulously
animated them later. Awsome game, POP: SOT should make up for the poor title of POP3D.

Supposedly this game is getting rave reviews by critics and gamers alike and is supposed to be very good. I'm gonna rent it sometime, but right now KOTOR holds a very strong grasp on me. :D

THis game rules for one reason only. The ****-stabbing.

Whenever someone is lying on the ground defeated, and you stab them with the dagger, you stab them in the butt. Not just in one of the cheeks, no, right in the crack.

I played it on PS2 ( demo). It's a good game, and the animations are just awesome.

For example, if there's a banner hanging on a wall and you wallrun, the banner would move with your feet and then sway back in place. There are a lot of cool touches like that, and combat moves are good too. The time control thing is pretty well thought out, and works good.

I only have bad memories of falling in pits from the original POP, hopefully the ability to turn back time may stop my untimely demise...

I have very fond memories of backing enemies into the bitey gates during swordfights, and of my "WTH ... Ohhhhhhh" with your reflection. <3 Prince of Persia.

A buddy of mine has it for the *ahem* PC and while he says it's a bit short, it's a ton of fun... and for this guy to say that in my book means something (he actually put down KOTOR to play through it!) I plan to be playing it this weekend. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    And PoP2!

Beat the game and Prince of Persia 1 will be playable in the extra options menu.

Also around 33% of the way into the game, you will receive a new sword. Continue on until you break a wall and the Prince says, ''It's said they built this palace on the ruins of another...'' Once you cross the next room, you will find a rotatable switch. Directly behind this switch is a breakable wall, although it doesn't appear to be one. If you hit it three times, you will find another room and you will receive a message informing you that Prince of Persia 2 is now unlocked.

You can also rotate that switch until it points to the new room and it will open a gate that allows you to play Prince of Persia 2 right there without having to exit back to the Extra Features screen.

    Wow.

This game harks back to the 16-bit maxims of innovative gameplay before everything else, yet it manages to deliver not only platform bliss coupled with combat nirvana, but also crams in luscious visuals!

I cannot stress this enough, play this game. It's on all formats; you have no excuse.

    Now, back to the game!

If anyone's interested, it got a 5/5 in the Official U.S. Playstation magazine.

It's good, but I don't see anything "great" and "amazing" about it.

i only saw a few trailers for it, never actually played it. from what i could tell, it looks like it might have really cool animations and graphics.

you know that one scene in the commercial, where he's wearing a purplish, bluish shirt, and he starts running on the wall? not only is that really awesome, but it reminds me of another really awesome scene from rurouni kenshin.

Went over to my friends house to see what it was like, apparently it hates Geforce 2 MX400's....

Guess I'm screwed unless I pick it up for the cube.

The best ad is the one where the guy is running on top of the crane and misses the jump.

    Awesome sauce +9

I played a demo on my Xbox...didn't seem all that fun or entertaining. I used to like platformers too...and the old version...bah.

It does have good graphics though...still don't think it's fun...I guess I'm one of the only ones...or maybe the demo just sucks.
