Server Not Showing On Internet Games

<div class="IPBDescription">can only connect thru favorites and ip</div> Server works fine except for the fact that it doesnt display unless u connect using an ip. i cruised the steam tech support and found two tweaks: sv_region 255/1 sv_lan 0. niether worked. were losin tons of potential players and money. any ideas would be welcome.

By "doesn't display" I assume you mean it's not showing up on the serverlists. There are certain ports that need to be opened if you have a router or firewall. <a href='http://steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=18837' target='_blank'>This pinned topic</a> in the STEAM forums may help.
