<div class="IPBDescription">50th birthday of that 1953 movie</div> While searching something for my dad, I had found the following links :

<a href='http://www.waroftheworldsonline.com/' target='_blank'>"War of the world" site</a>

<a href='ftp://sailor.gutenberg.org/pub/gutenberg/etext92/warw11.txt' target='_blank'>"War of the world" original novel in plain TXT</a>

Apparently this year, it's the 50th birthday of that famous 1953 movie. There are rumours of a Spielberg movie remake.

the game was ok, kinda hard to figure out.

The movie? The movie was utter utter poo. Complete and utter poo. Really really poo. You see where i'm going with this? It bore no resemblance to the book at all. They made the martians into flying-saucer things instead of walkers, they added some romancy completely unnesesary bit in there which certainly wasn't in the book, and they made it set in AMERICA! WHY GOD WHY?

    H.G Wells pwns you all.

We studied it in english back in year 10 (=11th grade I think). Although I have to say it was a lot more interesting than "Romeo and Juliet" or "Macbeth" which I had to do for my coursework....

If they remade it properly it could pwn. I don't mind it being set in America because as we all know America is the centre of the known universe [/sarcasm], but for the love of god at least get the story right, and make the Martian's WALKERS. Walkers pwn you also.
