My harddrive is full?

I'm pretty knowledgable with computers too and this has me stumped. Its on an 80 gig drive split between C and D drives. 10 gigs for the C and the rest goes to the D. And 3.5 gigs are supposedly opened so I have no clue. I havn't tried to defrag it, but I don't see how it could cause that. Anyone have any idea?

    could be a part of the harddisk not yet defined as a draive
    i would suggesting downloading Partition Magic to see if there is a undefined part

    Definitely want to run fdisk and look for any unpartitioned/unformatted space... if you haven't already.

    Aye its all formated. I used partition magic to partition the drives in the first place. Like I said it's got me stumped.

    Try running scandisk. (Yes, it sucks). Sometimes windows is incorrectly reading the HDD. Mine once said I had 2 gigs free, after running scandisk, fixed it up and I really had 5 megs free <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->
