<div class="IPBDescription">just a question</div> I was having a discussion on our server about this and was wondering, with motion tracking can it tell the movement of aliens that are in the range of sensory chambers? I was under the assumption that with sensory chambers around that motion tracking cannot be detected for aliens that are within its range. Thanks for any help on this one.

They do
As far as i beleive it goes like this....
Motion tracking detects all moving people, if you stand still you are no longer detected however.....
If you are in the range of a sensory chamber you can move and freely negate MC however......
There are two observatory ranges, 1 completly uncloaks aliens (not structures) and the second larger range will show aliens on MC even if they are within a sc range.
I dont know if i explained that well but good enough.
Not quite. CLOAKED aliens are not detected by motion tracking. So if you are inside the range of a sensory chamber, you are usually not visible to motion tracking, but that's because you are cloaked by the chamber, not because the chamber negates motion tracking.
One reason why you should splat down sensory everywhere is to deny marines strategic knowledge of your whereabouts... and why you shouldn't use leap/blink to move up for a surprise attack (if you HAVE that network of sensories, that is...).
"gee how bout we just get level 1 weapons and armor instead so that we can kill skulks easy"
"shut your face lucid. I'm sick of elitist **** like you that think they know everything. I suppose next you are gonna ask for jetpacks and shotguns to kill hives. Anyway comm, lets get motion tracking after you build turrets in base and electrify the tf and drop me mines for the doorways."
Sensory chambers cloak you 100%. The standard cloak gives you 95% cloak - and with gamma settings at the standard (ie maxed out) level, moving (even rotating) can give you away. If you don't move, chances are even the most sharp-eyed marine won't notice you.
Oh, and make sure you aren't silouetted against stuff like a resource plume - cloaking is much more visible against an animated background, for some reason.
The most common reason for marines to walk into a room and put a shotgun blast right at the cloaked you is that they have motion tracking and they remebered your last motion tracking point.
Bw, has anyone found a way to climb walls while holding your walking key? If I hold my walking key and move up to a wall, I just can't start climbing...

Sometimes(maybe it's related to FPS?) you need to kinda double-tap your walk key to be able to wallwalk. But you can wallwalk at any time during that walk until you let go of your walk key, even if you go down on the floor again.
