Absolute funniest: No One Lives Forever 2's one and only rail-based shooter level. The intro cutscene and sheer ridiculousness of the level itself were both so hilarious, it's one of the few times I've had trouble keeping in my chair from laughing during a game. The only other times I can remember off the top of my head were in Monkey Island 1 and 3, and Sam and Max Hit the Road. It's also the only rail-based sequence, PC or arcade, that I've actually enjoyed.
Overall best: In the Opposing Force add-on for HL, on hard difficulty, with autoaim on but crosshair off, playing though the warehouse/rooms-full-of-crates-and-blackOps just after disarming the nuclear warhead. I'd played through before on easy, but playing with the settings mentioned above, a better sound card, and completing it successfully made me feel like an absolute bad***. Probably would've been even better if they'd given me a full squad and stuffed the place with even more blackOps.
The last level of SMB3. Man, it took me soooo long to finally beat the damn castle that was in front of it. Then the fight with Bowser... god I loved it. Took me 3 years to finally beat the game, 3 f'ing years, I still think it was one of the best ever made, besides SMB1 maybe.
lvl4 of UNATCO HQ in Deus Ex.. that was such a surprise when I emerged there for the first time after fighting tooth and nail through the scary rooms filled with bio engineered animals, MIBs, etc. only to come out where I started the game O_O.
I think it was X-Wing vs Tie Fighter. One of the later Rebel missions, where you have to defend a sole cruiser (was it the Dardo, I'm not sure) against waves of Tie Bombers and Fighters. And just when you thought the waves were over, you see the new experimental robot Ties. The catch? They're kamikaze fighters that do huge damage. The scale of the battle as new suicide squadrons come at the cruiser from all angles, with both forces fighting it out all around. You could resupply your fighter with full health/missiles at any time in the cruiser, and hearing the battle go on as your fighter is reloaded in the dock is all kinds of cool. After I finally beat the mission on my third try or so, I felt I was unstoppable. Then came the reconnaissance mission and my ego was knocked back down.

That level was so awesome.
The first two levels of Half-Life are definately some of the coolest I played - same goes for the first level of Blue-Shift. Back when those games came out, I was so used to shooters being all about body counts and big guns; being dumped in an office space being told I was late to work was just great.
Oo! Oo! Just remember another part of Deus Ex I loved. The level where you infiltrate VersaLife and start stealth pwning everyone was absolute gold. Just for fun, I killed everyone on the level and piled them in a huge heap in the bathroom. That was a lot of bodies. Also, playing the entire game without killing anyone is a blast - and it's a lot more difficult as well.
As for my favourite multiplayer level, I think I'm going to have to risk public humilation and say fy_iceworld2k. Playing 3 v 3 on a LAN almost every day of the week for a month and a half was just awesome. It has the perfect balance of size, weapon selection, symmetry and evil hiding spots that makes it team-dm gold. A close runner-up would be ts_rundown; hearing everyone yell "what the hell is a 'breakable!?'" when I killed them with the giant gas tank for the first time was so much fun. Lastly comes ns_veil, my favourite NS map. It's just so... perfect.
Favorite First Person Shooter Level/Map: cs_estate in Counter-Strike. Because It was awesome..?
Favorite Real Time Strategy Level/Map: Circle Of Death in Warcraft 2: Tides Of Darkness, because it was... awesome? I dunno really why.
Favorite Turn Based Strategy Level/Map: Prinny Land 3, For Disgaea: Hour Of Darkness, mainly because I liked owning the Prinny God over and over.
Favorite Platform Game Level/Map: Any Level On Sonic: The Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis, because Sonic:The Hedgehog was my favoritest platform of all time
Favorite Natural-Selection Level/Map: ns_nancy from 1.0 because!
Favorite Food Level/Map: Fried Rice. I just like it
Favorite Color Level/Map: Red.
Wait.. What favorite thing were we talking about again?

I can't believe you just said that, Jefe. It's a forgotten turd; forgotten because its visuals and playability hit rock bottom and just kept on tunneling.

dod_hill (the original, before MGs existed in the game)
ussed to play on a server called "Hell Hill" (24/7 Hill )
Limited to like 2 snipers per team (just to keep the camp fest down).
My scores would often be 1K+ (and this would include both sides) had like a 20K score from playing for an entire day, nonstop
I was nearly unstopable either defending or attacking (I was good at DoD and hill was my prime level )

The cloakwood mines in Baldur's Gate. ROCKED ME SENSELESS! I love that whole game but that part is just my favorite. Going through the mines, getting that dwarf, disarming traps, and all the good stuff.

Gulch...
I think a fun level, one of my Favorites is the last level of Halo.
Splinter Cell: Presidential Palace
MGS2: Tanker
SSX Tricky: Tokyo Megaplex
Contra 3 (SNES): Stage 4, the one where you are on the motorcycles and then you end up fighting a boss while riding a missile
Half-Life: Surface Tension
I'd post more but my head is KILLING me
1 is from the original pitfall the first level you know the one that no one beat.
and my 2nd fave level is ummm level 37 from pac man that level design is so "elite" i just shudder when i play it

Either that or the mission from Vice City where you have to use the remote controll chopper to blow up that building.
that and godmode as utter fun!
