omg this game rocks
Wow. Its 5am and I just barely managed to pry myself away from KOTOR. This game just plain rocks, I love it. I especially love the combat, very cool.

And remember, these high bits of praise are coming from the guy who absolutely HATES Baulder's Gate and NWN. So yeah, if you could even tolerate those you're sure to go bonkers over this one.

Now I gotta go to sleep for 4 hours or so so I can get up and play some more! :D

It is a great game, I was quite impressed with it.

To be honest, I thought Star Wars+RPG=Suck, but it didn't and it was a good thing that it didn't

    Damn, no multiplayer?

The odds of me getting this game have dropped signifigantly because of that fact.

The only non-online multiplayer games I have are GTA3 and Vice City.
(And Morrowind, but that only lasted about two days)

I'll still give the demo a go-around though.

I'm not sure if there is a demo yet.

And there's lots of replayability. Just play it again with a totally different character, or same character but different choices.

I like it how you can chose if you want to be evil or good. Too bad I can't shoot people as I please.

No game in the last 6 months has had replayability. No, being able to change the difficulty does not count as replayability, its still the same game and story. It supremely sucks, because the newer games take so long to produce it simply isnt cost effective to do multiple paths and such.

KOTR looks like it has potential to be awsome, I normally despise Star Wars games until I play them, perhaps its because I don't expect much from them. Or maybe its because the franchise has been beaten to a water-like pulp with little change. I mean really, who here wouldn't want to see Star Wars 7, 8, and 9 before Lucas croaks and we have to settle for some 3rd party interpretation?

Im going to buy KOTR in a few months when the price drops, since I have barely enough for HL2 as it is and apparently this little dead end town isnt hiring anyone for anything (yay for Florida). Hell, aside from HL2 I won't be able to buy any games (Deus Ex 2, Hitman 3, Doom 3, Theif 3... wow... lots of triquels no?) till they hit the bargain bins, if even then due to me building a new computer so I can run the damn things.

If you're into actual roleplaying, hell yeah. There's more than just 2 different ways to end conversations, and there's a friggin TON of choices even early on in the game that all affect your character.

Me, I'm actually roleplaying my character a bit in that I'm gonna be that Jedi who was a bit rough and selfish at first, but eventually goes through his training successfully, but then plummets to the Dark Side. Mwahhhaha

Let's see. Each character interatction dialogue offers four possibilites (correct me if I'm wrong). There are over one hundred characters to interact with. Double that for either choosing the light side or the dark side of the force. Do the math, for I cannot.

It's got a hint of replayability. Not necessarily the conversations, but the endings for Dark and Light side are completely different... not just the cutscenes at the end, the actual story and your involvement changes... You can fight on the side of good and be a dark jedi, or, more interestingly, you can completely change sides to the horror of *some* of your party. AFAIK, there are at least 2 places to change sides, but I could be wrong.

Ah yes.....jedi was, especially when you betray the force!!! I thought it was a lot more fun just being a dark jedi from the start. haha, all the sly and rude comments you can say to people rule in that game. When you become dark, you get all these nasty vein things on your face....How far are you into the game?

And yes, all the reviewers have had some kinds of problems. Hopefully a patch will fix it up.

Yeah, that's why I chose to play it on the X-Box. As for replayability, throughout the entire game basically what party members you have with you affects what sidequests you can get (and yes, there are quite alot), and some can only be done at specific parts of the game with specific characters. I replayed it quite a bit to get the endings, and members. Alot of what you do can totally change the game, i.e at one point in the game you get the choice whether or not to kill someone, and as it turns out that person becomes a character in your team if you dont (yeah, I don't consider that a spoiler).

    *Spoiler*

You might want to complete everything on Dantooine ASAP, seeing as it gets blown up and whatnot.
