Normal Age
<div class="IPBDescription">for education</div> Just wanted to know what you consider to be a normal age for being in 11th grade, and what is not normal.
For the British: What is a normal age for a person to do their GCSEs?
For Americans: Normal age for doing the first SAT I exam?

Here in Denmark it's 6 years old.
we start having real tests in the 8th grade, i remember having some Danish tests in 7th grade(just to test if there were anyone who needed extra help)
I think grades came in 9th grade, but i cant really remember that. also its obligatory to go to school untill 9th grade, then afterwards most take 10th grade away from home - its called "efterskole" translated into "Continueation school" in the dict.
then after that, they pick something depending on their dreams. 'Technical' school, 'Buisness' school, Gymnasium <-- ' ' = rough translations.
and if you're going really high you take Uni - as every other country i know of.
EDIT: its not 1st class, but its called Kindergarten afaik.

The average for a GCSE is about 15-16. It's the English that do those. We (Scottish) do Standard Grades which are pretty much the same.
