To actually answer the question: Yes. I do believe the government lies to the people. Quite a lot. They lie in order to get elected, promising things they can't deliver, and then once elected they lie even more to stay in power.
A poll which would have two simple choices as 'yes' or 'no' will be spam and locked. Sheeps are fine and dandy but only because the butcher expects to get something back later on. And the sheep couldn't survive on their own because they are stupid, unlike hedgehogs. So people need government but they are bound to get fuxored in the process. It's the law of nature that STUPID deserve to be lied to. Just because they believe what ever the butcher tells them.
