If I stay in CT, I'll most likely get "1337 ME" as my plate.  CT's limit is 6, and you can't mix numbers and letters.  ):  In other states you can mix and match, and have a higher limit.

It varies from state to state. I think these were $30 in addition to standard licensing fees.
