<div class="IPBDescription">My new video card is on the way! :)</div> It's time to retire my Gainward Geforce3 ti450 Golden Sample. After months of research and digging through the couch cushions for extra coins, I've finally ordered my new video card. Originally, I was looking at the Nvidia FX5600ultra but hearing all the mixed reviews held me back. Then the FX5700ultra showed up and I was getting ready for that but decided to wait for more reviews.

I've decided on the <a href='http://usa.asus.com/products/vga/r9600xt/overview.htm' target='_blank'>ASUS ATI Radeon 9600XT</a>. I've been a Nvidia user since day one so this is a pretty big leap for me. But, based on the reviews and the current prices (including HL2 voucher is key here <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->) I gave in to the dark side.

Anyway, while I wait impatiently for it to arrive on my doorstep, is anyone using this card or any other 9600XT? What do you think? Have the Overdrive drivers been released for the 9600 yet?

    Overdrive isnt going to be released in the drivers for a while from what I hear

    I feel stupid, cuz I just ordered a new puter with a 9600 pro without knowing about the XT. cheaper AND better... I'm an idiot. I wonder if I can return the card by itself for a refund and order the XT... or maybe even the 9800... :>
