Do movement chambers make all aliens go faster all over the map? or those aliens who are in close proximity to the movement chambers? sometimes I see people build a movement chamber close to the marine spawn, why is this?
I really want to know how many shots it takes to kill Fade and Onos, e.g. level 0 LMG shots and level 0 HMG shots and especially shotgun. I'd love to know all the stats of all level guns and what damage they do if thats possible, it'd be very helpful in the game.
How many shots of (LMG HMG shotgun, level 0 etc) to actually kill a hive that doesnt have defense chambers protecting it? A table would be cool.
I am asking these questions because I just downloaded NS and I'm not even sure what version it is or anything, I just play the game and haven't read too much about it. I have read a few readme's and help sections but they dont seem to have the stats in them, I comm alot which I find quite easy because I've played alot of starcraft, but I just don't know the stats.
Also one more thing, what is the keyboard shortcut to the scan feature of the Obs? or do I have to bind it to an impulse? I'd find that very handy, thanks.

Movement chambers do not give a speed boost unless you take the celerity upgrade which allows you to move faster. Movement chambers by themselves give a passive boost to your energy meaning if you are near one you can fire more often. Normally seen when marines at stuck in base and aliens have 3 hives with acid rocket fades.
The OB can be set to a squad by holding down your crouch/CTRL button and pressing keys 1-5, from thier you can just press the key you bound and then the key for scan.
As for damage charts thier is a Vet that makes them with every new version of NS altho im not sure of his name.
P.S You should be downloading version 2 as its the latest, If you are on steam thier is a beta version in the public beta section of the forum for it.
<li>The Shotgun fires 10 pellets, each dealing 17 damage. Rate of fire is 1.5 per second.
<li>The HMG deals 20 damage per bullet, and fires 15 bullets per second. Damage is halved against structures.
<li>The grenade launcher deals 125 damage per grenade (not entirely sure about this), and fires 1.5 grenades per second. Damage is doubled against structures.
<li>The pistol deals 20 damage per bullet. Its rate of fire is capped at 7.5 bullets per second.
<li>The welder deals approximately 70 damage per second.
<li>The knife deals 30 damage per hit, and attacks 3 times per second.</ul><ul><li>The Skulk bite deals 75 damage per hit, and attacks 2.4 times per second.
<li>Parasite deals 10 damage, and attacks 3 times per second.
<li>The Gorge's spit deals 25 damage per hit, and fires at a rate of 2.4 per second.
<li>Healspray deals 16 damage per hit, and heals the same amount for alien players, though a (seemingly) different amount for structures. It attacks once every .75 seconds.
<li>Lerk spikes deal 16 damage each, and are fired at a rate of 4 per second.
<li>Lerk spores deal 7 damage per half-second, and do not stack. They can be fired once per second.
<li>The Fade's swipe deals 80 damage, and attacks twice per second.
<li>The Onos gore deals 90 damage, and attacks twice per second. Damage is doubled against structures.</ul>
<ul><li>The standard marine has, effectively (taking armor into account), 143 health with level 0 armor, 167 health with level 1 armor, 200 health with level 2 armor, and 250 health with level 3 armor.
<li>A marine with heavy armor has, effectively, 500 health with level 0 armor, 560 health with level 1 armor, 620 health with level 2 armor, and 680 health with level 3 armor.</ul><ul><li>The Skulk has, effectively, 108 health. 155 with level 3 carapace.
<li>The Gorge has, effectively, 215 health. Not sure about the amount when carapaced, probably 350 though.
<li>The Lerk has, if I remember its health correctly, 179 effective health. I'm unable to recall its armor value when carapaced, though, so I can't calculate that.
<li>The Fade has, effectively, 358 health; 550 when carapaced.
<li>The Onos has, effectively, 715 health; 1000 when carapaced.</ul><ul><li>I'm not sure what the hive's health is, but I believe it's either 5500 or 6000.</ul>
