Unable To Use 1-4 Keys On Main Keyboard

- CPU speed and make
Intel Pentium 4 2.60Ghz
- Sound and graphics card makers and memory
Sound: Realtek AC'97
Video: ATi Radeon 9600 TX 128MB
RAM: 512MB
- Operating system
Win XP Home
- Graphics mode and resolution you're running in (OpenGL or D3D)
OpenGL - 1024 x 768
- Detailed description of the problem, and what exactly you were doing
before the problem occured.
Unable to use buttons 1 - 4 on the main keyboard. Unable to
enter votes or use portals where it asks which one I want to move to. Able
to use this in other Mods (such as CS - can run through buy menu, just not NS). They are not bound to
any function. If I do bind them to a specific function it doesn't work.
Problem occurs all the time I need to use them. Have asked
around on various servers and no-one has ran into similar problems.
Reinstalled everything (HL and downloaded NS from another source to
make sure the one I got isn't corrupt and I'm patched more than a
Microsoft OS) but it is still causing a problem.
- Whether or not you're running EAX. (Don't run EAX, usually.)
Not running EAX.
- What Valve retail client you are using (Halflife, Counterstrike, Day of
Defeat)
HL 1.1.1.0
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Not that bothered about the voting (it is only a game after all *grin*) but was a bit annoying when trying to use a portal.
