Steam Help *sigh*

<div class="IPBDescription">Game Unavailable</div> I already posted this up on the FireArms forums, but no help from them yet. So I shall try my luck out here.

The Setting:

All the games are installed 100% correctly and i've done a full uninstall / reinstall and still no go. Did this 3 times.

Everytime I want to start a game it gives me this problem:
"This game is currently unavailable. Please try again another time."

Is there a possible fix to this, or should I just do what it says and be it's **** by waiting? This has been going on for about a week by the way.

    Have you restarted your computer? No kiddding, some people keep theirs on 24/7
    If not, press ctrl alt del and look for hl.exe, if you see one, kill it

    Nope, that's not it.

    I have to restart my pc every so often anyways since my bandwith gets to it's max and websites won't load so I have to restart.

    Are yuo trying to start a new game or join a game?

    try the other and tell us what hapens...

    And I would sugest hitting up the steampowered forums (I am willing to bet its a common bug <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->)

    I start up Steam.
    Click on Games.
    I double click on any game that I wish to start playing.
    Then: Game Unavaiable, please try again later.

    uninstall steam, follow the steps in the setting up steam thread, youll hafta get rid of registry keys too. Then download the 15mb richochet installer. Use that one.

    Sigh.. before you reinstall
    Can you play normal half life?
    Are you *sure* half life is updated?
    Did the conversion to steam get interrupted?
    Were you able to play before?
    Can you play any of the hl mods?
    Have you tried deleteing clientregistry.blob? (I'll try attaching a file that will do it for you)

    Oh, and before people start saying, I don't trust whats in that .bat file.. if you want to see, right click it and choose edit, you'll see about 10 echos, and 3 dos commands, all of which navigate to C:\Program Files\Steam and delete clientregistry.blob.
    Note: It's normal for steam to reupdate the steam platform after you do that.

    I'm still playing NS via WON

    Steam is put in my D directory due to steam taking up too much space and C doesn't have enough.


    Funny, everything you guys said to do is what I have already done.

    And Thansal..
    What other games can you play on steam besides the HL games and the chessboards ones on it? Nothing.

    if youre playing via won you wouldnt be gettin the unavailable error. If youre trying to go to your old servers with steam you cant unless your servers you play on go to steam too.

    Yes what I was refering to was the "Offical" Steam games (CS, DoD etc)

    And the are parlor games you can play with your friends (Rightclick on any of your friends and you will see <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->)

    Notice how I said ANY Hl game?

    Well everything has been tried so I guess my only choice left is just to wait until the next Steam patch comes out. =\
