    Some of those changes look really nice.

    Especially the one where items won't fall through floors

    Leap Damage Increased again (not by much but still better)

    Charge Damage Increased again (Maybe it will actually be worth using again)

    Lerk works sortof like a flight simulator, as long as you hold forewards and tap jump like a ferret on pixiestix. Once the airspeed bug is fixed, you'll also beable to glide and change directions while gliding, to include swooping and climbing and such (no loop-de-loops though... lerks can't handle stalls). Well, you can glide now, but you go so slow doing it you might as well not.

    We now have banking, ladies and gentlemen. You move in the direction you're facing, regardles of your momentum.

    well yeah, that's what I was trying to say... If you hold backwards, you go backwards, and if you hold strafe keys you fly to the sides. It's not like jumping gives forward thrust, is it?

    perhaps there could be a way of chosing which type of lerk you want to be.
    a lerk with spike or a lerk with bite.

    I liked the lerk spike's role better in 2.0, but admittedly, bite Lerk was more fun.

    Replacing spore with spike would return lerk to 1.04, which is a good option also. Spikes are great <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    re: the electricity

    I didn't like the sound of it, but once you get in a comm chair it makes a lot of sense..there is the minimum build radius to consider. Flayra doesn't want to stop building your stuff around a TF being an option for defense, so to negate the nerf on electricity that the build radiuses give, the range had to be upped. It's just to keep the balance.

    As for the remote things like RT's, it doesn't change anything, as a fade or skulk, you still have the ability to get away from the structure before the final fatal zap gets you.

    While I have nothing against bite, I think that losing spikes is going to hurt the aliens in the long run. And also its just... redundant. We've got skulks. And we've got fades, which are overgrown warp speed skulks. And now we've got lerk's with bite now, which are effectively *flying* skulks - and while there's nothing wrong with skulks so to speak, I think that the aliens need more variety that just melee attackers for 3 out of the 4 early classes are now going to be nearly dedicated melee attackers. Spores remain very difficult to kill marines with as long as there is effective medspam, and even lerk vs marine, I've rarely found spores to be all that useful. And with the lose of spikes, we're now down to only fades to dismantle marine electrified resource towers at the first hive.

    While I don't begrudge the lerk getting its bite back, can we PLEASE have another ranged weapon added in or beefed up so the aliens do not completely surrender the distance battle to the marines before hive 3?

    I hope Flayra and team will try let lerk have the old 1.0x weapon set again (and primal scream goes back to onos). Who knows? Maybe what we had wasnt so bad.

    You know, right now, I'd only want spiikes back if it had the following two aspects:

    #1 - Only usable while FLYING.
    #2 - Considerably more damage than we have now

    When there were spikes, you didn't fly much... flight was basically only for getting places, not combat. With the new flight model, flight is so much more fun I want every excuse to use it. Right now, the excuse is you have to get in and out really fast because you need to bite. Without that, the lerk would be much less interesting, I think. If we go back to the old way of sitting at the other end of a hallway, or in a vent, just spiking from a distance...

    That'd suck. Maybe it'd fufill a game role, but it wouldn't be as fun, exciting, or interesting. Lerks RULE now. Really.
