How do i do this?
Alright, hi everyone. I've been working on a small flash animation for my website. The website is for the independent movie my friends and I are making, and Im making a flash intro for it. I've got the flash made and put up there, but I have absolutly no idea how to add music to it. Right now, I want to add this mp3 that I have, but I know Im not going to be able to add just the mp3. I also have the flash file (swf) thats already on the page. If anyone has any idea how I can add the audio to my flash, I would worship the ground you walk on... Thanks.

    first, go to file, and click on Ëxport to .exe"or soemthin like that. that will make it viewable to anyone. a .swf file only works for those ppl that have Macromedia Flash MX (or some flash program). that's what u gotta do first (or after u finish everything. to add music, go to file --> import to library --> double-clcik the file u want, then u open up the library, and drag it onto the timeline. that's how u add music. but beware, once u convert the file to .exe, it gets HUGE (ex: .swf=7kb .exe=900kb)

    er... the flash file is what I want though, its small, most people can view it, all it requires is flash plugin which according to most websites 90% of the internet population has... I want it to be sort of like the Natural Selection Introduction you see when you first go on. I believe that is an swf file, but I could be mistaken. Thats my aim, I read somewhere you can stream music alongside it but I have no idea how to do that...

    [edit]
    Im using Macromedia Fireworks to create the flash file, I also have Dreamweaver and FreeHand, but havent really used them.

    [ File menu ]->[ Import ]

    Select the meusic/sounds you want, then hit import. Then select a frame to start the music, select the sounds tab, and use the dropdown to pick the selected sound. Start starts an instance of the sound playing independantly, stop.. stops it. Stream makes the sound sync to the frames of the movie.

    Or course, this is all from memory, and I havnt used Flash properly in over a year. Hope its correct and helps.

    (Edit: Flah 5 and above supports MP3's straight from file. If you need any help on Sounds with Flash 4, just ask)

    Use Flash Mx its rocks. back on topic all you have to do is add a layer for the music then the proper frames / keyframes drag the audio in the layer add a triger stop when you want to stop the music then voila flash production!
