How do you have your hair cut?
Mine is a nice shaggy look, about 3" to 3.5", depending upon which part of my hair you measure.
I've always had long hair, partially because i'm too lazy to get it cut, partially because I like the long hair that defies the modern "buzzcut" trend.

Sometimes I hang it shaggy. Over the summer I grow my hair and a beard usually because it's fun to go back on the first day of school with a big mop of hair and a full beard. Then I shave it all off the second day and come back lookin clean.
Most of the time it <i>is</i> short though.
But I've been growing it out for the past few months in search of a better hairstyle, so its a big shaggy mess at the moment.

All my friends have the 1/8th inch shaved hair. In winter, they freeze their chrome domes off.
Meanwhile, with my shaggy long hair, I don't need a hat, just a neckwarmer because my scruff doesn't keep me warm enough.
Your hair looks like that of a character in one of my stories.
Now i let it grow a lil longer(not even like Liku's girl style hair)..not to short not to long.
Last spring i had short spiky hair and tipped it blue.

Same here.
All my friends do the shave it as bald as you can with a pair of clippers look. I usually have the longest hair, until recenlty. I let my friend trim it up with clippers, and he went way to short for my liking. Sure, everybody else likes it, but I am not everybody else.
Oh, and the middle section of bangs are purple or pink, depending on what I felt like the last time I dyed them.
Up until recently i've had a high undercut and hair extensions up on top. Anything from real dreadlocks, wool dreads, colinnette, braids, plastic, tubing, foam... anything really.
I've cut and styled it myself (Except my other half does my extensions. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->) for about 3 years now.
I think this describes it better, heh.
