I can't seam to make one
I've tried several times to make a layout but each time I come close to making one, I scrap it and go another way. It's really starting to bug me. I enjoy all the other parts of level design but for some reason, NS layouts are giving me a fit. Any suggestions. Unfortuanly, I design my maps on paper and my scanner is evil so I don't have any scans to really show. Are there any sources that are good for NS layout inspiration or what kinds of things do people usually look for in a layout. Ugh, I hate this because I never had trouble with layouts for other maps.

Edit: Might help to mention that I'm talking about NS_ maps not CO_ maps. I also used to do single player maps so maybe that is also contributing to me having difficulty in designing a good NS_ map layout.

Umm, try looking around the web for things to inspire you. Like a little while ago someone posted stuff about old missile silo's and etc. Or do what i always do, dont bother planning just map, and map, and map, and eventually it turns out alright. Just make it seem realistic in the layout. (like dont put a loud power station next to the sleeping quarters). And remember vents too. Make sure every place seems to have a purpose. Thats about all i can help with =/ Soz

Maybe I'm so frustrated with making a layout because I've been so busy at school and when I get home I'm tired and uninspired. And yes I try to make every part of my map have a 'purpose'.
