I know most of you hate GSI (for reasons you cannot logically explain), but PHL is hosting a new article site that has some well written and excellent work up there.
<a href="http://www.planethalflife.com/view" target="_blank">.View</a>
It even includes a (somewhat older) but lengthy interview with Andrew 'KungFu Squirrel' Weldon, NS contributing mapper extraordinaire.

There is some quality literature there.
GameSpy Industries - the network of sites and tools, including PlanetHalfLife, hoster of the .view.
But view is really worth a visit. Mature, well thought out articles and comments

i need to learn to read more than 2 paragraphs on the first page before i open my trap. this isn't the exact same thing the gamespy people were hinting about at quakecon, so i guess that even after three years it still isn't done. this is something else that does indeed look very very good. now i'm gonna go shut my trap and read it :)

^Does that still exsist?
Anyways, say that site along time ago, used to be hosted at Geocities.
/me shudders.
1: Fileplanet: Sure, its free, but... but... but... I guess the real blame falls on game companies not forking over the bandwith for patches, and mod people not making an effort for other mirriors.
2: Gamespy Arcade: Despites it use only for the hardcore, GSI feels that it needs to mass market niche software.
3: The Acronym: GSI. Sounds like a Law and Order Spinoff. Law and Order: GSI.
