not lag though :?
i recently formatted my pc, so i re installed half life, got the 1.1.1.0 patch, and installed NS 2.0.
i did all of that. twice.
but i keep getting the same problem: when i do something ie try moving around, i only move 2 seconds or so later...so, for example: i stand somewhere. press W to go forward. nothing happens. few seconds later it moves forward. as you can understand, its quite hard to play like this ^^ whats the fekkin deal?
i only play NS with halflife but in HL singleplayer its all fine, so i guess it has something to do with my internet. but i always have low ping, and 256k cable...anyone?

This happened to me back when I got my first video card. Get better drivers, then try opengl.

if you have a wireless keyboard, it may be the batteries. you would notice that outside of ns though.

what is your fps? (turn on netgraph to see)

the problem is that you are triple buffereing or rendering ahead. To fix this, go into into youre dirver control panel or get rivatuner from guru3d.com and in the vsync area, set the render x frames ahead to the lowest possible (1 for direct 3d, 2 for opengl) and then the lag will be gone. To make the game run even faster, diable vsync.
