<div class="IPBDescription">Stupid toolbar</div> Well I was in a rush installing MSG PLUS 2 and installed there sponsor aswell. There sponsor gives you a annoying tollbar the never gets used (by me).Anyways now 2 spybot and adaware checks have been done.

Nothing.How do i get rid of this piece 'o crap.

    My advice is going to be based on Windows XP. The toolbar is probably run by a process on your computer, and if you go to the task manager (by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del) you can view the processes tab. If you find a process that has a name that clearly is running the toolbar, end that process, and the toolbar should go away. When you end the process, it will ask if you are sure you want to end it; click OK. (Important: If you don't understand what I just said, or if you get to the list of processes and don't see anything that you are sure is running the toolbar, then don't change anything, because you can really screw up your computer if you mess with the wrong thing.)

    If you found the process to end, then you can go on to this step. The process you ended is probably started up each time you turn on your computer. To change that, go to the Start menu, and choose Run. Type "MSConfig" (without the quotes, not case sensitive), and click OK. Click on the startup tab. Here you can choose which things to have start up when your computer is turned on. If you can find the program that starts up the toolbar, you can tell that not to start up. Again, if you get to this point and don't know what you are doing, DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING, since this can really screw up your computer.

    I don't know how experienced you are with messing with computers, so I don't know how useful this will be, but I hope it will help.

    I have the free version of Trillian. As long as you put up an away message, it won't take you away from your game when someone IM's you.

    Edit: Another program you can use is EndItAll, which you can get <a href='http://home.ptd.net/~don5408/toolbox/enditall/' target='_blank'>here</a>. It shows all of the processes, like the task manager, but it actually shows the name of the program, making it more user-friendly.

    Would this be the bar you are referring to, because I had the same problem, then I switched to Mozilla, I coulldnt get rid of the thing!

    I am going to guess that it is a completely different program. Have you tried any of my suggestions? I know most of what I posted at least looked complicated, but EndItAll is really easy to use.

    Then you ought to be able to figure out how to remove it manually, hmm?

    Anyway, to remove it, you have to uninstall MSNPlus, then reinstall it and uncheck the Install Sponsor box.
