<div class="IPBDescription">Do you dream NS?</div> I've recently had two really...odd dreams to put it at the least about NS.....
First one had me in it and I was sitting at my PC playing NS and was playing as a marine. The first bite I took from a skulk in the leg caused real life physical damage in the form of a giant bloody bite mark in my leg. I discovered I couldn't F4 or disconnect out of the game so I ran around trying to find a place to hide and I so happened to run into a fade which slashed me and split open my chest in real life. I woke up right about here.
Second dream was a bit more brighter and cheerful. I dreamed that the marines were all TFC classes. They had soldiers blowing up fades, medics conc'ing onos, scouts dropping trallop-packs on skulks, and spies backstabbing gorges building. Although it was probably one of the cooler dreams I ever had and a TFC Vs NS game would be cool, the developer issues/balance issues among others would be too great.
Anyways, anyone other than me have NS inspired dreams after they play?

My first dream was just commander mode, and it was in the middle of a fade/onos attack on the marine base, and I'm frantically clicking on icons to remedy the situation, as soon as the IPs were destroyed, I woke up.
My second dream was basically scouting out an area with my marine buddies, shotguns in hand and a wave of Skulks approach and my squad and I "pwn" them.. until the Onos came along, We all got gored, and one of us was getting digested, I was about to be gored one more time, which means, I die... before that happened, I woke up.
Then there was one where the aliens were invading earth. It was amusing, until a Skulk parasited me and I ended up starting to mutate. Then it was just wierd.

In a test, subjects were given Tetris to play. The groups were split into those that never had played Tetris, and those that had.
The ones that had played Tetris did okay, some dreamt about tetris (fond memories, shapes, etc).
The ones that had not played Tetris ever actually dreamed of seeing the shapes, blocks and lines in their sleep, and dreaming of how the shapes could be rotated etc etc.
After the dreams, those people did a bit better at tetris.
So, dreaming of games is no problem mentally nor psychologically. Your brain simply views NS as a very complex and very entertaining problem to be solved, which is no different from social interaction (what most dreams tend to be about).
and if you stay up too long through too many days you will SEE NS play-out throughout the time you're awake (brain is collecting the information and possibly botching it half-way through, and mixing it up with NS stuff)
Someone stay up strait through one week while playing NS for 16+ hours a day and find out if this is true... no, wait, people already do that... <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

And they like, cut me in the face i run down stairs and when i saw my computer...
i saw skulks in it it was like..woooSH
I felt the pain of being shot, and the taste of blood. (Bit my own tongue IRL).
Then it just got weird, kinda a a mix of DOD and NS. Kharaa vs axis? O_o
I can only <b>remember</b> one dream of NS, but that one was teh pwn. Because I was a skulk. And because I had my bedsheet(duvet?) between my teeth so there was "realistic" resistance to the bites, and I pwned every marine that came in sight !
It was also quite dark, and quite a lot of that corridor near atmospheric in ns_bast... despite me not playing on ns_bast much anyway.
OMG that would actually be VERY VERY fun. Imagine leaping across charlie beach or something.
Weird. And weirder; now that I'm on Comcast rather than 56K, the dreams have subsided. Perhaps less conflict now that I don't lag or get kicked anymore... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

All of you guys are right. When played Nonstop on a DDR game, all I could see afterwards when I closed my eyes were arrows. The brain just does things like that, playing back images of what it was doing all day. However, the more you play the same images, the more the brain gets used to it, and thus this goes away.
Of course, If all you're seeing is NS, it does suggest that you've been playing NS all day, which is a bad thing. Don't forget to go outside and ride a bike or something occsionally. When the internet turns into a Matrix-like virtual reality thing, you'll probably miss the outside before it turned into hell.
Which means it's gonna release soon, because I'm still wearing the same clothes....ack damn I spoiled it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Wow it's strange how some people feel it so necessary to insult people who don't think exactly as they do.
Anyway, as far as NS dreams, I've never had one, hell I haven't had a dream since I was in 8(th) grade, just don't I guess. If I did it would be about lame things like grades and SAT scores and other garbage. But I am enjoying this thread a lot so if anyone else has one please share!
