Yeah original post is right. In larger games (9v9+):
- aliens have slower individual res flow (this results for onos/hive to come much later than in smaller game) - marines can spawn faster with more IP, while aliens have only 1 hive in begging - marines have cheap upgrades for everyone which are then free, while aliens must still pay to make use of chamber upgrades
So it's true aliens need more cooperation which is hard to achieve on pubs, therefore i think some sort of coordinator with comm-like view would be cool for aliens (if aliens win 1/2 games on pubs, they win 3/4 games on CW because on CW they are more organized, while marines in pubs can operate with almost maximum efficiency with good comm).
The whole thing with individual res is the fact that you have (lots of time) res just sitting there useless untill that individual has gotten more res. In larger games... more res is just sitting there, and marines actually have more res then the aliens can use at any time during the game. Also the gorges prefer starbursts because it is chewy in their mouths. Skulks like skittles for that quick energy bursts, and onos just eats anything cause he is a FAT BASTURD! *GET IN MEH BELLAH!!!!* *Devour*

Anyhow, Travelyn, I think too that it is slightly odd how aliens can have 49 res, but not have much to do with it unless they evolve, and evloving could be considered a giant waste.
It would make NS rather unique if all classes could spend their res (with the exception of the gorge) on stuff besides upgrades or another evolution.

sigh it seems you are so right my friend, aliens DO require a hella lot of more teamwork then marines, in the beginning, if everyone drops a res tower the game is leaning towards aliens, but then theres those games where i am the only 1 dropping res towers and chambers and saving for the hive while everyone else goes on thier merry way either saving for onos and end up dying in less than 2 seconds to heavies, AND they let marines get resources and on top of all of that u put up a hive build 1-2 ocs (if your lucky to have enuff res) and the marines have 1-2 rambos who kill you and build a phase, u tell your team 10-20 times before anyone listens, and by then its only u and mabye 1-2 other skulks who try to save the hive while the rest never respond and go on thier way doing NOTHING, so we lose hive 2, marines take both hives, kill ur res towers, u flip out yelling at ur team, u get no responses or mabye a SUYF noob. well thats the games of alien sometimes, for marines u can have rambos, u only need 1 person to listen and try, the rest go off do thier thing while that 1 marine goes off building and expanding, sure itll be slow but electrifying nodes and tfs does wonders early and even late game. then after u drop weapons and armor or jetpacks u THEN gain the disciplin of the team, aliens on the other hand, now tyhat theres no more 1 gorge per team which was pretty cool ,its a save for fade and die easily or save for onos and die anyhow. i do really like the games at NIGHT when ppl who CARE play and u get some good fun competative play.
