    The good guys always win in the end.

    My guess is that what Neo "must do" is get agent smith to destroy the matrix himself by overloading everything. In the meanwhile, based on the previews, the humans must battle the sentinels in Zion for a while fighting a losing battle. Neo finally get Agent smith to overload the matrix, all the machines lose their power and the world is saved.
