Oh crap, I forgot about this. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> Don't worry we might get some bad weather up here this week, so if I get a day off of school you can expect to see it here that night. If not I promise to do it this weekend! A blood oath I swear. Or maybe I'll do it tomorrow....who knows but more will be here by Sunday.
Nice! I want to see more <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
As promised, here is more. Enjoy <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
?Where the hell is it!? one marine shouted, ?Fan out to the other boxes, cover both ways in.? Sara and I ran in a half crouch to a box about 10 feet from where we had been. ?I don?t see anything? I yelled.
?Commander can we get a scan down here?? one marine radioed, ?Sure thing, just give me a sec.? I heard a faint ringing in my ears, and then dead center in the room I saw the fade.
It was translucent and making its way very slowly towards my cover. ?Shoot the ****!? one marine yelled and opened fire we all shot into it then takeing it completely by surprise. It let out a scream and tried to teleport it?s self over my crate to the back exit, but I cut it down in mid air, it flew over my crate and spun into the floor.
We all ran around it, it was convulsing and kicking at the ground, but its joints seemed to be shot out, it wasn?t going anywhere now. ?Holy ****, that thing is still alive!? We all kept our guns pointed at its face; the thing didn?t even seem to notice us.
?Commander?.we have one?and it?s still alive..? one marine said his voice was a little shaky. ?Holy ****?I?ll radio the drop ship and transport, we?ve never taken a live one before not that I can remember, just keep it safe. I?ll make damn sure we have backup soon.?
A turret factory appeared next to a pile of crates and two marines went to work on it, the rest of us watched the fade. ?Do you think it can understand us?? Sara asked me, breaking the long eerie silence. ?I don?t think so, it heard what we said to the commander and it?s just laying there. If it can it doesn?t seem to have the life left to care.?
?Turret factory up commander?, Three turrets appeared around the factory, two near both entrances and one almost on top of the fade. We had them up in no time, and felt allot safer, but no one let their guard down. We waited in there for almost an hour when finally three forms came out of the phase; all of them were marines in heavy armor, and sporting heavy machine guns. They walked over to the fade, examined it for a second then radioed something back to base; I couldn?t hear it they must have been on another frequency. Then a fourth armored marine came though, he was carrying a metal stretcher in his arms. He set it down next to the fade; it had stopped bleeding now, which I thought was a little odd. Two of them picked it up and strapped it down, it didn?t protest, it merely let out a hissing sound as they picked up the stretcher. As if on cue with the hiss the commanders voice came on, ?get that thing outta there I?m picking up large movements!?
It was to late an onos burst into the room smashing into the two turrets and flinging them across the room, they weren?t meant for that kind of abuse. We all fired into it, the heavy?s moved quickly towards the phase, as if the onos knew what was going on it charged straight for the armored marines.
The two guarding the stretcher raised their guns and opened fire, but it too late they had let it get to close. It hammered into them sending one sprawling across the floor, stopping with a loud clunk as he nailed a crate. It pined the other with its massive foot, and gored into his helmet, blood splattered on metal as it tore right off. I couldn?t believe two armored marines could go down so fast.
The other two were at the phase now and just ready to go through, our continued LMG fire seemed to have no affect on the behemoth. They were about to go through the phase, when one of them seemed to reconsider, he dropped the stretcher grabbed his HMG and fired into the onos, the other marine quickly did the same.
Finally something seemed to have an affect on the beast. Chunks of skin and green blood shot up into the air, it screamed and charged at the two heavy?s. The one on the left rolled awkwardly out of the way, the one on the right was not so lucky. The onos hit him head on, it sounded like bat hitting a car, he flew a foot back and fell to the ground, the onos moved over to finish him off. The other marine was back on his feet now and he fired straight into the beasts gut, combined with our LMG fire a hundred little holes seemed to open up in the creature, and its whole abdomen just caved in and fell to the floor with a gory green splash. The rest of the best collapsed unmoving to the floor.
The armored marine quickly reloaded, then looked around, it was quiet again the coast seemed clear. He ran over to the other armored marine, and our squad slowly made its way over. A huge dent was in the chest plate, and the marine wasn?t moving, Sara came up and had a look at him. She unhinged the helmet and slid it off, ?I would imagine his ribs are broken, maybe his lungs are punctured but this should fix him up.? She grabbed a med pack from her bag and injected it into his neck.
?He should be fine in a few minutes.? She sounded confident enough about it. The armored marine shook his head and said, with a heavily muffled voice, ?That?s to long, you grab the other end of this and let?s go, the transport ship is waiting.?
He pointed at me, I stood sill for a second but then moved over to the stretcher, I purposely grabbed the end where the fades feet were, didn?t need to lose my hand today. He grabbed the other end and we moved to the phase, it was heavy as hell, but I managed somehow. We stepped into the phase, I could hear it strain under the weigh of all three of us, the warm light enveloped me, and I wondered for a second what the fade must think of this.
It took a little longer then before but we appeared in our base, it was back up just like the commander had promised, and two armored marines were guarding a newly opened hole in the wall. A tunnel ran from the hole into the transport. A man in a white lab coat was standing near it, talking to another marine, who appeared to be an officer. ?Ah good? the man in the lab coat turned away from the officer and addressed me. ?Our specimen has arrived, not with to much trouble I hope.?
?Too..much?? I strained, the thing weighed a ton. ?Well quickly now move it into the transport, we?ll want to begin studies as soon as possible.? We walked slowly through the tunnel, which seemed to be nothing more then though cloth inflated with air, the transport was small, enough room to seat four marines, and some space in the center, a small metal door lead to the cockpit. We set the stretcher down in the center. I was about to start walking out when I heard a loud explosion, and gunfire erupted. The man in the lab coat came running up with the officer.
?Time to be leaving? he said as ran past me and pushed me down into seat. They jumped into the cockpit, the officer piloting, and closed the back door, sealing the tunnel at the same time. The heavy marine sat down and started takeing his armor off.
?What the hell just happened in there? I demanded. ?Nothing they can?t handle son now sit back and shut up? The officer, obliviously distressed yelled at me. So I sat back, and thought about what would happen to me now, and what would happen to my squad..and to Sara. I heard the ships engines turn on and we began moving off into space.
